The Meaning of Sex

• First, it speaks either of the two major forms of individuals that occur in many species and that are distinguished respectively as female or male especially on the basis of their reproductive organs and structures.
• Second, (chiefly with reference to people) it talks about sexual activity, including specifically sexual intercourse.

I. The World's Immoral and Unnatural Order

Some definitions to consider:

• Transgender: A term, whose gender identity or expression is different from cultural expectations. Eg. A biological male dressing up as a female and vice versa.
• Same-sex attraction: An emotional, romantic or sexual attraction to someone of the same sex.
• Gay: A men or women who experiences attraction to another of the same sex

A person who experiences SSA is not a homosexual by default. The difference lies in the action or decisions made. An SSA individual labels himselfherself a gayhomosexual when heshe acts upon the attraction and desires. Some might still choose to label themselves as gayhomosexual as it is just a convenient way of letting others know that they are attracted to the same sex.

A. Impact on Marriage

• Family is redefined to include non-nuclear families, including gay and trans.
• Marriage redefined to be non-exclusive and abusive, e.g. wife-sharing

• Top parenting concern of Singaporeans in 2022: increased exposure to LGBTQ+ idealogy in media.
• Children are being exposed to sexuality at even younger ages as early as pre-school.

• 79% of youth and young adults believe that parents have the primary responsibility for teaching children about sex and sexuality, BUT only 15% of them cite parents as the main source of sexuality information.

C. Impact on Youth

• Increased instances of sexual encounters at an early age, resulting in the increase in sexual infections amongst youth.
• Youth asking the wrong questions about sex and relationships
• "when is it 'okay' to have sex?" vs "when is the best time to start dating?"
• "Everyone's having sex but me - is there something wrong with me?" vs "What family values are important to me? How can I navigate dating and married life?"
