The essential message of the book of Obadiah is that antisemitism eventually brings God’s judgment.
Nations that curse and persecute Jews will reap what they sow. They are attacking a people with whom God has a long-standing, unconditional, and irrevocable treaty (Genesis 12:1–3).
Conversely, nations that harbor and protect Jews will enjoy God’s blessing.

This verse (Obadiah 17) speaks prophetically of the millennial reign of Christ, but application wise it is to today’s Christian that is totally surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Here we see the EXPECTATIONS of the surrendered saint.
