YC 03/01/23 - Get Yoked
Notes
Transcript
2nd Corinthians 6:14-16
“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

sermon illustration: Have one person stand on chair, and have their friend stand next to them. Have them take each-others hands and try to pull on one another.
It’s easier to bring someone down than it is to lift them up
1.) We need the right friends in our life
Show me your friends, I’ll show you your future
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
2.) Two are better than one
In this life we experience difficulty, but remind yourself, God gave you friends for a reason...
