Focused on the Tree
Focused on the Tree
51 When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem.
A very shallow reading of our Lord’s passion my lead someone to think that He was a victim of man’s wickedness, without realizing Jesus’ willingness to experience what He went through, or of God’s grand design in it all.
For the sake of this first Lenten meditation I’d like for us to look at a handful of Scriptures.
I am convinced that Jesus was the bravest, strongest individual that there ever was. A Trevor Sutton states: “Jesus focused his ministry on the cross. The love that Jesus has for you moved him to set his sights on that Golgotha tree.” (In His Steps, 6).
