-Saul possibly conducting buisness outdoors

-Saul through a temper tantrum
-why did he call them tribe of benjamin? (1 Samuel 9)
-son of Jesse from tribe of Judah
The single most important thing to understand about worship is that the only worship that is acceptable to God is worship that proceeds from a heart that is trusting in God, and in God alone.

(1 Samuel 22:11-15)
-Now Saul’s enemy list escalated, hundreds were against him, the whole priesthood was against him
-How did Ahimelech respond, four ways:
1 Defense of David
-David is your servant
-David is your son in law
-David is loyal to you
-David is captain of your body guard
-David is highly respected
2 Ahimelech was just doing his priestly routine
3 Ahimelech showed his loyalty to the king calling himself a servant
4 said he knew nothing of a plot
(1 Samuel 22:16-19)
-unwilling to follow Saul’s orders, why?
-why the mention of wearing the ephod?
-We have seen priests killed before but on the basis of their sin, this is a total different situation
(1 Samuel 22:20-23)
-one escaped
-why did David feel at fault?
-What did he do as a result?
-What we see is the difference in character:
-a faithful follower of the Lord will make decisions that honor the Lord
-even faithful followers of the Lord make mistakes, but God’s grace abounds, and provides opportunities to mature and grow
