Power of Agreement

Matthew 18:19 NKJV
19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
Notice is says concerning anything we ask
there is no prerequisite
no stipulations
no money down
The strongest union that exist today on this earth is the Marriage union
Ephesians 5:31 NKJV
31For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.
Genesis 2:18 NKJV
18 And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
Notice that even when made was perfect and had full dominion and walked in perfect union, God still saw something missing
It’s not good for man to be alone:
There’s levels in this life that we can only reach in agreement with one another
There’s hardships that we could only endure with one another
There’s promises in God’s word that only can be achieved together
Until Adam sinned with Eve, Adam and Eve existed solely on obedience to the word of God
They operated in perfect unity because they were in complete obedience to the word of God
Notice he never gave the commandment to Eve, he only gave it to Adam
For us to walk in what God has for us we have to be in full agreement with each other
Sarah:
Agreement of Order
God has to be first in our lives before all else
We have to agree to go after God in the same manner
Being strong individually makes for a stronger team
That mean in our Spirit, Soul and Body
2 Corinthians 6:14 NKJV
14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
Order of Marriage:
Individual Relationship with the Father
Our Marriage (unity together)
Our Children
Our ministry
Our Vocation
Joel:
We have to be in unity as couples in that Order
If God isn’t first there’s disorder
No matter where you choose to put God in your life he’s going to be first regardless
IF the emphasis doesn’t start top down there will be problems
Matthew 22:37 NKJV
37 Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
Sarah:
2. Agreement in your vision
Matthew 6:33 NKJV
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
The Kingdom is our vision
What is the vision God has for your marriage, for you kids
A lot of people have well thought out business plans but not plans for their marriage
Proverbs 29:18 NKJV
18 Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.
Joel:
Are you seeking after the same vision?
In January of Last year
Trip to the hot springs
Fasted and prayed for a vision for our year
Spend time seeking after
It’s more important than you know
The evidence of the Holy Sprit being present in both of your lives is being in agreement
Acts 4:32 NKJV
32 Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.
Sarah:
3. Agreement in the tone of your household
As leaders of our household we set the tone for it
WE DECIDE
The atmosphere affects the environment
Have you ever been to someones house and you can feel strife or anger?
Have you ever been to someones house and feel Joy?
We spend all this time making houses look nice
Are we spending time creating an atmosphere
Joel:
Stop coasting in you relationship
If it’s not going the way you want it, you change first
Don’t be a product of your environment
We are the product that changes our environment
You don’t have to settle for your personality
2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV
18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Sarah:
Another way set the tone is worship and
Worship changes the atmosphere
Psalm 22:3 NKJV
3 But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel.
Joel:
Teaching our kids what it’s like to be thankful
Pray first thing when they wake up
Thankfulness sandwich
WE PICK EACH OTHER UP WHEN WE’RE DOWN
I love what Pastor Rusty said last night
We’re no always operating at 100% so we pick each other up
We don’t allow the world or circumstances to dictate the tone of our relationship and life
Sarah:
4. Financial Agreement
We’re intentional with our giving
How we tithe/First thing we do Friday morning
The tithe is alway the first thing that leaves our account when we get paid
Are you on the same page when it comes to spending and budgeting?
We never balk at the opportunity to give
We believe that God establish his covenant on the earth through us
In turn we get to bless other people
Genesis 22:18 NKJV
18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”
Joel:
Give and it shall be given, So shall men give into your bosom
- 20K story of tithing (Starting in Bible School
Proverbs 11:25 NKJV
25 The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.
Our goal is to water everyone around us
Sarah:
Recap:
1. Agreement of Order
God has to be first in everything we do
2. Agreement of Vision
Seek God and Ask him for a clear Vision for your marriage, your household, your ministry, your business
Take time to fast and pray and ask God to give you direction
3. Agreement in finances
Be on the same page with tithing
Be on the same page with your giving
Be on the same page with spending and budgeting
Joel:
Wrapping up:
Last year we had been believing for some things in our finances
Things we were specifically believing for
175K to remodel our house
We wanted to tithe off that money
new car
supernatural debt cancelation
Sarah wanted to sell our house but I didn’t
WE FINALLY CAME INTO AGREEMENT
We set our faith together (WHAT DOES THAT LOOK LIKE)
What are you standing in agreement for
It says we have not cause we ask not!
Deuteronomy 6:18–23 NKJV
18 And you shall do what is right and good in the sight of the Lord, that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land of which the Lord swore to your fathers, 19 to cast out all your enemies from before you, as the Lord has spoken. 20 “When your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is the meaning of the testimonies, the statutes, and the judgments which the Lord our God has commanded you?’ 21 then you shall say to your son: ‘We were slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt, and the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand; 22 and the Lord showed signs and wonders before our eyes, great and severe, against Egypt, Pharaoh, and all his household. 23 Then He brought us out from there, that He might bring us in, to give us the land of which He swore to our fathers.
When we do what’s right in the sight of the Lord
When we seek him firstly
When we agree asking anything in my name
What are you asking for?
More importantly What are you standing in agreement for
