WHY IS THAT IMPORTANT????
IN LUKE 7:36-43
BECAUSE JESUS Tells a story THAT GRANTS PERMISSION FOR THE EXTREME EXPRESSION OF WORSHIP BY ASKING A QUESTION TO THE RELIGIOUS SPIRIT
JESUS SAYS...
A certain man was forgiven of a small debt and another man was forgiven of a larger debt, which one of those two men do you think was the most thankful to be forgiven?
The religious spirit (SIMON the Pharisee) answers and says, I suppose the one who was forgiven of the larger debt. JESUS SAID......You have spoken correctly
Those who have been forgiven much, Love much.

THE BIBLE SAYS....
“Gods mercies are new every morning” MEANING there is no expiration date or shelf life to his mercy.
IN Matthew 18:21-22...
JESUS calls us to forgive 70 times 7 , which is another way of saying there is no end to the forgiveness that I’ve called you to operate in.
So when we look at the story of The Children of Israel we see them end up in slavery by what initially has rescued them.
OH COME ON SOMEBODY....
IN OTHER WORDS.....
BEFORE EGYPT BECAME A TYPE OF HELL &
BEFORE PHARAOH BECAME A TYPE OF DEVIL
EGYPT AND PHARAOH WERE SALVATION TO ISRAEL THROUGH THE FAITHFULNESS OF JOSEPH

HERE IS THE PROBLEM.....
THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL...
BECAME DEPENDENT ON THE METHOD THAT GOD USED TO BRING THEM OUT OF A FAMINE,
RATHER THAN BECOMING CO- DEPENDENT ON THE PRESENCE AND NATURE OF THE GOD
WHO SIMPLY USED THE PERSON OF PHARAOH AND THE NATION OF EGYPT.
What’s the point?????
THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO WILL NOT LEAVE WHAT THEY WERE RAISED IN
BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE THEY WERE SAVED.
OH MY LORD....SOMEBODY HELP ME
THE DEFINITION OF RELIGION IS NOT
DOING THE WRONG THING
ITS DOING THE RIGHT THING for TOO LONG.

RELIGION IS SO TRICKY IN THAT....
IT WAS RIGHT FOR A SEASON BUT,
WHEN WE DEMANDED TO REMAIN IN WHAT INITIALLY DELIVERED US

A MIRACLE ASPECT OF OUR STORY.

KINDERGARTEN IS AWESOME BUT ITS WEIRD IF YOUR 12
EGYPT AND PHARAOH BECOME BONDAGE, ALTHOUGH THEY ORIGINALLY STARTED AS SALVATION.
WHY???
2 reasons.....
1. BECAUSE ISRAEL ENDS UP DEPENDING ON HUMANITY RATHER THAN GOD,
because of this....
2. THEY END UP STAYING LONGER THAN THEY SHOULD HAVE.
UNDERSTAND THIS...
JESUS SOMETIMES MOVES YOU INTO AN EXPERIENCE...
THAT IS INTENDED TO SUSTAIN YOU FOR A SEASON HOWEVER,
HE DEMANDS THAT YOU DEPEND UPON HIM TO SUSTAIN YOU ETERNALLY.
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS IN YOUTH CAMPS AND REVIVALS..........(EXPOUND)
WHEN WE EXPERIENCE REVIVAL...
WE HAVE TO WORK TO KEEP IT STIRRED
IT DOESN’T JUST HAPPEN
IT’S SOMETHING THAT HAS TO BE CULTIVATED AND MAINTAINED
BECAUSE EVEN AS CHRISTIANS WE HAVE A TENDENCY TO DRIFT TOWARD LIFELESSNESS
WE LOVE THE EXPERIENCE SO MUCH THAT WE END UP WORSHIPING THE EXPERIENCE RATHER THAN THE ONE WHO CAUSES THE EXPERIENCE.
Moving on
Long story short........
IN EXODUS WE SEE...
MOSES PLACED INTO THE WATER BY HIS MOTHER
MOSES WAS FOUND AND LATER ADOPTED and raised BY PHARAOH’S DAUGHTER
LATER... GOD COMES TO MOSES AS A BURNING BUSH AND BEGINS TO SPEAK TO HIM TO “RESCUE HIS PEOPLE FROM PHARAOH”
THEN IN ..... EXODUS 14
WE SEE THAT MOSES HAS SUCCESSFULLY LED THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL OUT OF EGYPT
MY Goal today......
IS TO SHOW YOU WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE 100% OF THE TIME FOR PEOPLE
WHEN THEY FIRST LEAVE THE SYSTEM they’ve been enslaved to.

1 Then the Lord gave these instructions to Moses: 2 “Order the Israelites to turn back and camp by Pi-hahiroth between Migdol and the sea. Camp there along the shore, across from Baal-zephon. 3 Then Pharaoh will think, ‘The Israelites are confused. They are trapped in the wilderness!’
WAIT WHAT?????
THE LORD TELLS THEM TO CAMP....
EVEN THOUGH IT MAKES NO SINCE
THEY SHOULD BE RUNNING FOR THEIR LIFE
Exodus 14:4 (NLT)
4 And once again I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after you.
Wow, thanks God......
I have planned this in order to display my glory through Pharaoh and his whole army. After this the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord!” So the Israelites camped there as they were told.
HERE IS THE PROBLEM WITH THE WILDERNESS
YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE LEAVING THE SYSTEM THAT HARASSED YOU, BEHIND.
BUT,
GOD DOESN'T LET YOU JUST LEAVE WHAT PLAGUED YOU BEHIND....
HE ACTUALLY ORCHESTRATES WHAT HELD YOU CAPTIVE TO FOLLOW YOU INTO THE WILDERNESS.
PEOPLE LEAVE THE SYSTEM AND THINK THAT
AS SOON AS I AM OUT OF THE SYSTEM IT WILL BE..... BREAK THROUGH
THE PROBLEM IS....
MANY PEOPLE WANT TO ESCAPE WHAT THEY'RE UNWILLING TO FACE

BY YOU RUNNING AWAY
OH COME ON.....
BREAK THROUGH COMES BY GRACE CAUSING YOU TO STAND STILL.... AND SAY
IM GOING TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS MIND SET AND THINKING
THAT HAS HELD ME CAPTIVE FOR MAYBE GENERATIONS.
THE MOMENT YOU DECIDE TO RUN IS THE MOMENT YOU SAY

FREE TO US MEANS - GREATER DISTANCE BETWEEN ME AND WHAT HAS HARASSED ME
FREE TO HIM MEANS - NO EXISTENCE OF WHAT HAS HARASSED YOU
THE PROBLEM IS
YOU WANT TO DISTANCE YOURSELF FROM WHAT GOD WANTS TO DROWN
5 When word reached the king of Egypt that the Israelites had fled, Pharaoh and his officials changed their minds. “What have we done, letting all those Israelite slaves get away?” they asked. 6 So Pharaoh harnessed his chariot and called up his troops. 7 He took with him 600 of Egypt’s best chariots, along with the rest of the chariots of Egypt, each with its commander. 8 The Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, so he chased after the people of Israel, who had left with fists raised in defiance. 9 The Egyptians chased after them with all the forces in Pharaoh’s army—all his horses and chariots, his charioteers, and his troops. The Egyptians caught up with the people of Israel as they were camped beside the shore near Pi-hahiroth, across from Baal-zephon.
HES GOT ALL THE ISRAELITE'S AND THEIR FAMILIES CAMPED
LORD, WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU DOING????
LORD THIS CAN’T BE A GOOD IDEA!

QUESTIONING GOD AS IF HE DON’T HAVE A CLUE WHAT HE’S DOING
HERE’S THE THING,
OH LISTEN TO ME......
JESUS WANTS TO TAKE YOUR DELIVERANCE TO A DEGREE THAT IS UNCOMFORTABLE FOR YOU.
WE CRY TO LEAVE THE SYSTEM BECAUSE WE HATE THE SLAVERY AND SIN.
BUT HERE’S THE THING......
GOD DOESN’T JUST WANT US TO ESCAPE....
OH MY LORD....
HE WANTS TO BRING YOU TO A PLACE OF NO RELAPSE.....
GOD DOES NOT WANT YOU TO HAVE A STORY IN YOUR PAST
CONTINUALLY HAUNTING YOU WITH THE SHAME AND FEAR OF RELAPSE,
HE WANTS TO DESTROY WHAT HAS HELD YOU CAPTIVE
WE WANTS TO DROWN WHAT YOU’VE BEEN RUNNING FROM ALL THESE YEARS
SO THAT YOU NEVER HAVE TO LOOK OVER YOUR SHOULDER AGAIN.
Exodus 14:10–14 (NLT)
10 As Pharaoh approached, the people of Israel looked up and panicked when they saw the Egyptians overtaking them. They cried out to the Lord, 11 and they said to Moses, “Why did you bring us out here to die in the wilderness? Weren’t there enough graves for us in Egypt? What have you done to us? Why did you make us leave Egypt? 12 Didn’t we tell you this would happen while we were still in Egypt? We said, ‘Leave us alone! Let us be slaves to the Egyptians. It’s better to be a slave in Egypt than a corpse in the wilderness!’ ”
THIS IS WHAT GOD DOES...
SOMETIMES HE Allows US TO BELIEVE THAT WERE DONE WITH EGYPT
THEN HE GOES, PPSSTTTT
THEY’RE RIGHT OVER HERE.
CHURCH.....
THIS IS GOD ANSWERING THE CRY OF YOUR HEART,
“OH GOD I WANT TO BE FREE INDEED”
Watch THIS.....
13 But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. 14 The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”
15 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving! 16 Pick up your staff and raise your hand over the sea. Divide the water so the Israelites can walk through the middle of the sea on dry ground.
THIS IS WHAT HE SAYS.....
OK, NOW YOU GUYS CAN GET UP AND MOVE AGAIN....LOL

THE WILDERNESS REQUIRES A DEGREE OF TRUST
THAT IS BEYOND A DEGREE OF UNDERSTANDING
17 And I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they will charge in after the Israelites. My great glory will be displayed through Pharaoh and his troops, his chariots, and his charioteers. 18 When my glory is displayed through them, all Egypt will see my glory and know that I am the Lord!”
GOD IS TELLING US THAT....
HE RECEIVES GLORY THROUGH THE DESTRUCTION OF WHAT HAS HELD YOU CAPTIVE
19 Then the angel of God, who had been leading the people of Israel, moved to the rear of the camp. The pillar of cloud also moved from the front and stood behind them. 20 The cloud settled between the Egyptian and Israelite camps. As darkness fell, the cloud turned to fire, lighting up the night. But the Egyptians and Israelites did not approach each other all night.
21 Then Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the Lord opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. The wind blew all that night, turning the seabed into dry land. 22 So the people of Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side!
23 Then the Egyptians—all of Pharaoh’s horses, chariots, and charioteers—chased them into the middle of the sea. 24 But just before dawn the Lord looked down on the Egyptian army from the pillar of fire and cloud, and he threw their forces into total confusion.
WATCH THIS....
25 He twisted their chariot wheels, making their chariots difficult to drive. “Let’s get out of here—away from these Israelites!” the Egyptians shouted. “The Lord is fighting for them against Egypt!”
OH MY LORD......
LISTEN TO ME....
GOD WILL BOG DOWN WHAT IS CHASING YOU IN THE WILDERNESS
IT MAY SEEM LIKE WHAT IS CHASING YOU IS ON YOUR HEELS
BUT GOD WILL TWIST THE CHARIOT WHEELS ....
TO KEEP WHAT IS CHASING YOU FROM REACHING YOU.
Exodus 14:26–27 (NLT)
26 When all the Israelites had reached the other side, the Lord said to Moses, “Raise your hand over the sea again. Then the waters will rush back and cover the Egyptians and their chariots and charioteers.” 27 So as the sun began to rise, Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the water rushed back into its usual place. The Egyptians tried to escape, but the Lord swept them into the sea.
EVEN IF WHAT IS CHASING YOU CHANGES ITS MIND AND TRIES TO RUN,
GOD DOESN’T LET IT ESCAPE.
YOU SEE....
GOD WILL IMMOBILIZE WHAT IS CHASING YOU JUST BEFORE HE DESTROYS IT.
SO IT MAY SEEM LIKE ITS GAINING ON YOU BUT GOD SAYS
NOPE WATCH THIS.....
I’M GONNA TWIST THOSE CHARIOT WHEELS AND DROWN THE ENEMY
OH MY LORD....
JESUS MAKES SURE THAT WHAT HAS BEEN HARASSING YOU
LOSES ITS ABILITY TO ESCAPE FROM YOU AND NOW ...
WATCH THIS....
NO LONGER ARE YOU THE HUNTED
BUT YOU BECOME THE HUNTER
28 Then the waters returned and covered all the chariots and charioteers—the entire army of Pharaoh. Of all the Egyptians who had chased the Israelites into the sea, not a single one survived.

3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
God will allow us to go through things that are uncomfortable sometimes....

I MEAN HE LOST EVERYTHING
HIS WIFE, HIS KIDS, HIS FRIENDS, HIS LIVESTOCK, EVERYTHING GONE
Have you ever been IN A PLACE WHERE YOU FELT THAT EVERYTHING WAS AGAINST YOU?
EVEN GOD?
ISAIAH TELLS US THAT MARY HAD A SON AND GAVE HIM THE NAME EMMANUEL
DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS?
God with us
OH COME ON SOMEBODY..
Understand THIS...
no matter what your going through and how alone you feel.....

DIVORCE
THE LACK OF PEACE IN YOUR HOME
ALCOHOL
DRUGS
PORNOGRAPHY
YOUR TONGUE
YOUR THOUGHTS.
YOUR EMOTIONS
YOU INABILITY TO BE HAPPY WITH YOUR LIFE
CONTENTMENT
THESE ARE ALL THINGS THAT CAN ROB YOU OF YOUR LOVE, JOY , AND PEACE
IF WE DON'T LET FREEDOM COME INTO EVERY AREA OF OUR LIVES......
SUCH AS OUR THINKING....
THEN WHAT GOD HAS CONQUERED DOESN'T HELP US.
EVEN AFTER ISRAEL SAW GOD SET THEM FREE.....(THEY REJOICED FOR AWHILE).
THEN THEY SAID, OVER AND OVER AGAIN,
“WE SHOULD'VE STAYED IN EGYPT,
AT LEAST WE HAD FOOD.
SO YOUR THINKING HAS TO BE SET FREE
OR YOU WILL ONLY ENJOY FREEDOM FOR A LITTLE WHILE.
UNCOMFORTABLE SITUATIONS WILL CAUSE YOU TO WANNA GO BACK.
BUT....
Remember God is with You!!!
