Good works will fail you
Titus 3:5  (ESV)

Family associations will fail you

29 In those days they shall no longer say:
“‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes,     and the children's teeth are set on edge.’ 30 But everyone shall die for his own iniquity. Each man who eats sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge.
Church affiliation will fail you
John 3:3  (ESV)
3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
What I am trying to say, is that anything other than Jesus will fail you as to the salvation of your soul! There are a lot of good things you can do and be involved with, but salvation lies in Jesus and in Him alone,
Paul confronting religious leaders telling them to wake up
Acts 4:11-12  (ESV)
11 This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. 12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Where is your trust this morning?
Jesus cares for you.

In other words let go of the worlds rope
Jesus has authority to care for us
John 1:15-18 (ESV)
15 The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him. 16 And this was why the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because he was doing these things on the Sabbath. 17 But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working.” 18 This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
John 5:1-18  (ESV)

Jesus Is Equal with God
18 This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
