Jesus rules this House
John 2:13-15 (ESV)
13 The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers sitting there. 15 And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables.
What made jesus so angry?

Psalm 84:10  (ESV)
10 For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Ephesians 4:26  (ESV)
26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,

James 1:19  (ESV)
19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;
Why didn’t they attack him?
Malachi 3:1-2  (ESV)
3 “Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the Lord of hosts. 2 But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner's fire and like fullers' soap.
Realize Jesus rules this house
Jesus was passionate for his house
John 2:16-17 (ESV)
16 And he told those who sold the pigeons, “Take these things away; do not make my Father's house a house of trade.” 17 His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.”
Psalm 69:9 (ESV)
9 For zeal for your house has consumed me,     and the reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.
He told
Isaiah 56:7  (ESV)
7 these I will bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.”

19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.
Galatians 6:1  (ESV)
6 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.
Say maybe someone says things you don’t like in a big speech or someone else rips up a paper in an way you don’t like… should we scream and shout or be gentle looking to restore? Warning
What is jesus asking to whip out of your life
Hebrews 12:11 (ESV)
11 For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
We must be passionate for Jesus house
Jesus is this House
John 2:18-21 (ESV)
18 So the Jews said to him, “What sign do you show us for doing these things?” 19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” 20 The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?”21 But he was speaking about the temple of his body.
D.A. Carson stated, “The point is that under the terms of the old covenant, the temple was the great meeting-place between a holy God and his sinful people. This was the place of sacrifice, the place of atonement for sin. But this side of the cross, where Jesus by his sacrifice pays for our sin, Jesus himself becomes the great meeting-place between a holy God and his sinful people; thus he becomes the temple, the meeting-place between God and his people.”
Jesus takes away the idea the need to go to the temple for forgiveness..it is now him…
When Jesus died
Matthew 27:51 English Standard Version (ESV)
51 And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split.

John 2:22-25 (ESV)
22 When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.

He knows your house
John 2:22-25 (ESV)
23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many believed in his name when they saw the signs that he was doing. 24 But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people 25 and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.
You will always have Jesus who is there to love you even though he knows everything about you.
But only if you believe him >Jesus doesn’t offer himself to those who do not fully give themselves over to him.
John 1:12  (ESV)
12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
1 Corinthians 6:16-20  (ESV)
16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, “The two will become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. 18 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
Holy there is no one like You
There is none besides You

And fill me with Your heart
And lead me in Your love to those around me
