How to Live Unashamed for Jesus in our daily Life.

Romans 1:15–17 CSB

So I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith.

What is Shame?

“a painful feeling of humiliation, guilt, and distress, caused by consciousness of guilt”

Chameleons: lizards known for mastering how to change colors to adapt to their atmosphere, so that they predator can not recognize them. but unlike animals we are human and God sees us as much s we try to hide. Heb 4.13

Hebrews 4:13 NLT

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.

Legit Reasons why these Roman Christians could of Dealt with Shame:

1. The Moral Conditions in The Roman Empire

2. The Message was Nearly Beyond belief

3. The Fact that some of them were Jews and jews were despised.

4. The Persecution Paul and the Romans were experiencing for Jesus.

• He had been imprisoned in Philippi (Acts 16:23, 24)

• Chased out of Thessalonica (Acts 17:10)

• Smuggled out of Berea (Acts 17:14)• Mocked in Athens (Acts 17:32)

• Called a fool in Corinth (1 Cor. 1:18, 23)

• Stoned in Galatia (Acts 14:19)

Paul Was Eager to share with them

So I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome.

How could Paul be Eager to be with them considering the threats in Rome?

21All who heard him were astounded and said, “Isn’t this the man in Jerusalem who was causing havoc for those who called on this name and came here for the purpose of taking them as prisoners to the chief priests?”

22But Saul grew stronger and kept confounding the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Messiah.

What can happen if we believe, proclaim, apply, live and share it:

1. get mocked

2. get ridiculed

3. friends or family may desert us

4. our earthly success, achievements, and accolades may leave

5. get humiliated by the world

6. may even be persecuted

*one of the youth handling up and helping his family encouraged me, (youth encourage also “timothy”) had his small baby sibling on one arm, checked in his other sibling in child care and was heading to the service.

Paul is Dealing With Delay

Romans 1:13 NLT

I want you to know, dear brothers and sisters, that I planned many times to visit you, but I was prevented until now. I want to work among you and see spiritual fruit, just as I have seen among other Gentiles.

1. God used this delay to show Paul he is God by himself, no apostle has been here as far as were aware and paul doesnt like to preach on another mens foundation so where did this happen ? how did these believers come to know Jesus?

2. The Holy Spirit knew in His foreknowledge how bad we would need this document, Paul doesn't like to show off his knowledge but its necessary to the christians in Rome, so he breaks down the gospel with wit and deep thought and because of this , the church has be blessed and deepened. ( like David with Bathsheba in psalms 51, God can take your mess and use it to encourage millions that you didn't even know)

Maximus eager to play with his toy car but don’t have batteries, and i head to the dollar store and have the option to get 2 energizer or 8 dollar store brand, i get the 8 lol, short lived .
