Ezra 4 tells how the Jews were building a temple. and the enemies of “Judah and Benjamin” heard about it and they asked to join in and help build the temple. They were told now and became bitter about it.

God made followers of Jesus from both the Jews and the Samaritans, the result (or the fruit) of which, was the letting go of the hate they had for one another.
