Introduction:
All this year we have decided to sit at the feet of Jesus and say to our Master, “Teach Us”
Lord, Teach us to Pray!
Teach us to Sound Doctrine!
Teach us to Send!
And now as we sit at the feet of Jesus we are asking, “Teach us to Dream”
So many have stopped dreaming. The cares of this world have stolen our dreams and turned them into nightmares.
We’ve lost faith!
We’ve lost hope!
We’ve lost love.
But dreaming with the Lord is different than dreaming for yourself.
God’s dreams are not limited by our resources or even our faith.
Dreaming with God requires a mind of endless possibilities. For all things are possible with God.

God’s Dream

I remember in October of 2014 when God shared his dream with me and for me. Just as he had done with Abraham, Issac, and Jacob; David, Solomon, and Simian.
God said, “I will build a church that produces Jesus followers of faith that expand my kingdom.”
A Church of Truth (Bible Believers)
A Church of Multiplication (Disciple Makers)
A Church of Faith (God pleasers)
A church of Love (Community Engagers)
A church of Hope (Kingdom Builders)
The church would exist in the midst of and for the community. A Church with no walls or barriers to keep people from Jesus, but an invitation into his goodness and loving kindness.
And Reliant was born.

God’s Provision for His Dream

To Abraham he provided a seed

Genesis 15:3–5 ESV
3 And Abram said, “Behold, you have given me no offspring, and a member of my household will be my heir.” 4 And behold, the word of the Lord came to him: “This man shall not be your heir; your very own son shall be your heir.” 5 And he brought him outside and said, “Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”

To Israel he provided a land

Joshua 24:13 ESV
13 I gave you a land on which you had not labored and cities that you had not built, and you dwell in them. You eat the fruit of vineyards and olive orchards that you did not plant.’

To Reliant he gave a mission

2 Timothy 2:2 ESV
2 and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.

And God began to make room.

Bill,
“I went by my lawyers office today and signed the paperwork for the land donation.  I believe the church now owns the property.  You should be getting the info from their office soon. Congratulations on your new land acquisition.”
God has given us this 27 acres of land. It appraised for $1,085,000.
Joshua 24:13 ESV
13 I gave you a land on which you had not labored and cities that you had not built, and you dwell in them. You eat the fruit of vineyards and olive orchards that you did not plant.’

God’s Expectation of His Dream

Joshua 24:14–15 ESV
14 “Now therefore fear the Lord and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

We serve him in sincerity and faithfulness.

We put away the gods of our fathers and serve the Lord.

Conclusion:

Have you stopped dreaming?
Start dreaming with the Lord. He will share his dream with you and for you.
