Heart Attitude Towards Our Neighbor

Exodus 1:21 NIV

21 And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.

These Midwives were those Pharaoh called and said to them “When you are helping the Hebrew women during childbirth on the delivery stool, if you see that the baby is a boy, kill him; but if it is a girl, let her live.” Exodus 1:16.(NIV)

And the Bible went a head to say “But the midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but let the male children live.”

Today on Gospel Highlights what can we pick from the above scenario? The strongest thing we can learn from the above scenario is, when we are believing God for anything, we shouldn’t destroy what is somebody’s no matter how the devil pushes us to. Jesus said in Luke 16:12 coating from the King James Version “And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?”. That’s exactly what the midwives did by been faithful to what is another man and therefore God gave them their own.

O how, many Christians who have fallen into this attitude of wishing people evil yet want a blessing from God. Men of God want the success of their Churches and wishing the downfall of their neighbor Churches so theirs can stand out or succeed. O how, many Christians who are cheating their neighbors in the market place yet want God to bless their businesses

O you see how God does not seems to come through for us most times, is because of our heart attitude. The Bible says “Love your neighbor as yourself” Mark 12:31, that’s the second great commandment. And in Romans 13:10 (NIV) the Bible says “Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law”

So today on GOSPEL HIGHLIGHTS let us consider our heart attitude towards are neighbors making sure we aren’t defaulting in any bad attitude towards our neighbors, then and then we can be sure that God will come through for us.
