Faith of the Canaanite Woman

a difficult story for us to wrestle with the character of Jesus

seems to be turning the woman away

Jesus does not refuse healing elsewhere

an important point is being made even if the language sounds harsh to us

salvation is not just for the Jews, it is for us gentiles as well

she has faith and that brings about wholeness just as for anyone else

Jesus Feeds Four Thousand

similar to the last time Jesus feeds thousands

Jesus does not want to send them away

he does not want them to be left hungry because they chose to follow him for days

these people are seeing and giving God the glory for what is being done
