Intro

Throughout Christian history, we have seen the worlds cultures take a stand on subjects that go completely against Biblical truth.

We are seeing with our eyes, what truth will be remembered is being denied in our time

We have many people in church history to look up to who stood on biblical truth. We are seeing these in real time

you can be assured that what happens in most first world nations will and are finding their way to us

these are things you've heard before. but just because you've heard it before doesn't mean we stop preaching it. (think of the prophets)

Dr. Päivi Räsänen

Charged with Hate Speech for quoting Bible

1. In 2019, Dr. Päivi Räsänen, a Lawmaker in Finland, got into hot water and accused of hate speech after posting a picture on twitter containing Romans 1:26-27. No commentary was given on her part for the verses, it was just her, quoting the Bible. Those verses are already culturally unacceptable but to make matters worse, being a public figure, she posted that picture during a gay pride event. This boiled the blood of some that took notice of her Christian beliefs and they took it to court. Thankfully, as of March 30th, 2022, the courts unanimously dropped the charges

2. The problem with this though, is that it was thought to be acceptable to take it to court at all.

Legislation put in place to force you to keep your mouth shut

but can we do that if we want to preach the Gospel?

John 8:32, we can expect God allow people to see the truth and it will set them free

Isabel Vaughan-Spruce

Arrested For The Second Time For Praying in Her Head at Abortion Clinic

On December 6th, 2022, Isabel Spruce was arrested for silently praying outside of a closed abortion clinic. The police approached Isabel and asked her what she was doing at the location and if she was protesting. she replied that she wasn't protesting but silently praying in her head. The police then asked her to “voluntarily” come with them to the police station for questioning. She said well if there's a choice in the matter, because they said voluntary, then she wouldn't go. The police then said she was under arrest. On Feb. 3rd of this year the charges were dropped. A few weeks later, March 7th of this year, Isabel was arrested again, for silently praying, not protesting, not praying out loud, but because of the personal prayer she had in her head. The Police officer said, “You’ve said that you’re engaging in prayer, which is the offense.

This, ultimately, is a display of 1984, Orwellian, thought policing at its finest. and it comes from a desire to suppress the truth of God and all that support God's truth. The truth of God that says a baby is a human life from the moment of conception, imbued with the image of God in their spirit. because of the love of self, abortion has been and still is propped up to be a sacred rite of the religion of secularism.

its not killing, its termination of pregnancy (and other redefining we do to make ourselves feel better)

What to Expect

Jane Fonda, a popular movie star, went on the view to say that they wont give up their rights to abortion. She was then asked, “Besides marching and protesting, what else do you suggest?” In straight faced manner, with no smile attached to it, she said, “murder.” What do you think will be the repercussion for that? Don’t expect anything.

we can expect, in the worst case scenario for this fight to accelerate to the point that we would be prosecuted on our beliefs that a baby is a sacred life

Josh Alexander

Arrested For Saying “Only Two-Genders” At Catholic School

In November 2022, Josh Alexander was met with quite a surprise when he found himself suspended over something that he knew was controversial, but probably didn't think would lead to a suspension. Josh attended a catholic school in Renfrew Canada, when the class was having what seemed to be an open discussion on gender. Josh said the topic“was about male students using female washrooms, gender dysphoria and male breastfeeding. Everyone was sharing their opinions on it, any student who wanted to was participating, including the teacher. I said there were only two genders, and you were born either a male or a female, and that got me into trouble. And then I said that gender doesn’t trump biology.” For that opinion, which by they way has been held by the vast majority of Christians for two thousand years, as well as Jewish believers since the beginning of time, Josh was told that he was suspended and couldn't return to class until he recanted. the following Monday, Josh returned normally to class where he was met by the vice principal, arrested by two officers and charged with trespassing.

who would have thought that this was one of the battles we would have to stand on the word of God and fight for?

What to Expect

you can expect the rights of others to be placed on a pedestal over other peoples rights and beliefs. and you can expect that deviation from this, by standing on biblical truth, will result in legal action against you.

but you can also expect this not to last. this subjective mindset is laced with inconsistencies and can only turn over more and more immorality till the society destroys itself or wakes up. regardless of the outcome, you can expect that one day God will address it in front of the entire world at judgement.

Prosecuted For Misgendering

Christian Post “While preaching in Briggate, Leeds, a pedestrianized area of the city, McConnell was asked by a man who self-identified as a “trans woman” whether God accepted the LGBT community. The preacher said, “No, God hates sin. So, this gentleman asked a question ...” Members of the crowd interrupted him, shouting, “She’s a woman!” McConnell replied, “No, this is a man,” prompting a female member of the crowd to shout back, “She’s just as much a woman as me!” McConnell was arrested under section 4A Public Order Act 1986 and convicted for “offending” a member of the public in Leeds City Centre on June 8, 2021, according to the group, which said he was reported to the government’s counter-terrorism watchdog, Prevent, by the Probation Service, and ordered to pay a fine of $734 (£620) and do 80 hours of community service.

What to Expect

expect John 15:18.

expect that as we go into this season of spiritual warfare, to have to preach the gospel in a different way that you're use to. as the times change and the ideas of the culture shift into inventing new forms of evil, expect the church to be there on the front lines, proclaiming the truth of God, while new laws are made against its speech and we go from meeting in public buildings to the basement of houses, full circle with the first century.

expect God to win the culture war with the gospel. let us not think that the gospel has lost its power to reach these people. when they are most offended, that is a good sign that something is clicking in their head because great transformations from the gospel being preached start with someone being the most provoked.
