Judges 16

Our modern day pagentry has left us as a society plagued by the need to judge and compare ourselves to the image of others, and because of this we are constantly in a battle with our identity because we often are mesmerized by those who seem to be doing better than us and let’s just face it, it will make you feel some type of way when you see someone close to you who appears to be doing better than you and with ease. That family members who’s always got the latest car, that friend thats always in a relationship, that coworker who seems to get every promotion there, that classmate that sleeps through most of the classes but still has A1 grades after you’ve stayed up all night to only get a C+, it will make you feel some kind of way, but if I can encourage you this morning I want you to know the only reason the grass looks greener on the other side is because you keep looking at the wrong time of day. You’re looking when the ring light I mean the sun hits the lawn just right, but if you ever look when the lights are flashing and the mood isn’t set and the cameras are away, you’ll realize what you see is a reel and not a reality, and if you are going to wake up to your own life I need you tell somebody ‘set your own value’, how do you deserve to be treated, what makes you feel good, what adds value to your life, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
You portray what you feel, not what you say
Numbers 13:33 the children of Israel said we became like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.” Stop living in the expectations of others because they will size you up according to your actions and the reason why they treat you small is because you act small, but if you ever start speaking over yourself that you are more than what you’ve been portraying, your value begins to increase and they would have to think twice before talking down to you, why? because
