Intro

In keeping with our theme this morning I want to use
Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
THe apostle Paul writes this letter to the Jewish ad Gentile Christians to encourage them as they navigate the various season of life while in rome
as we all gather here today for this family and friends day in our nice clothes, with smiles on our faces
the reality of it is that many of us are not looking like what were going through
some maybe in a season of isolation where you may have people around you but your still have this sense of loneliness.
some maybe in a season of struggle where your having to struggle to obtain what you see other people get so easily
some maybe in a season of rebuilding their faith where God is having to take you through unfamiliar seasons of testing to rebuild your faith in him
whatever the season you may find yourself in, if your trust is not in God, you risk causing self inflicted wounds to your story all because you cant see what God is trying to do in your life.
If you are not careful you will let your lack of faith, and your lack of understanding of where you are, and where you are going to cause you to miss out on the necessary lessons of this seasons.
understand there are lesson that God is trying to teach you in this season, there are other perspectives he’s trying to showing you about your life’s journey and if you get to wrapped up in what’s not going right, and what’s not working you miss very critical information that God is trying to download into for the season to come..
please note that God operates by season, and with every season there is a reason for it.
there is nothing you will go through where God is not showing you things or teaching you something that will strengthen you in some way
we have to get out of this mindset that things are just happening by coincidence and that friends and family are leaving your life just cause that happened, or just because this happened,
but in every situation you face, God has a reason and a purpose
even those who feel like your struggling financial
even god has a reason for that , because sometimes God has to show you that even with a little he can provide a-lot.
(you ever had a $100 bill that had to last you 1 weeks)
you had bills dues
you had to pay for gas to get to and from work
but when you look back over that week, you never missed a meal, you made it to work every day on time , you even bought a scratch off and won $50 because god has a way of using certain season to not only build our faith, but to show you that your safer with him than without
but if your looking at your season from the wrong perspective, you will continue in a never ending battle for your peace.
you will continue in a never ending battle of trying to understand why things couldn't be another way
and so yes it our Job as the believer to discover the reason for the season that we are in, so that we can properly Stewart it, but if your not going to take the lessons of that season and apply them to your life,
your going to fall into this place called Einstein insanity
and Einstein insanity is nothing more than doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
for many of us we have never seen this type of season before,
and we are being forced to go through things that we never thought we would go through,
we’ve been introduced to things that we never imagined we’d face.
and so we can not afford to miss the lesson of this season, much less remain here because of our failure to apply the lessons and principals god is trying to teach us
and so as we deal with this concept of trusting God in this season
I want to give you a few principals that will help properly aim your trust in the right direction in this season journey
one of the things i want you to consider when trying to trust God in the season your in is

Know that God is in Control - Proverbs 19:21

21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
in other words .... God has no problem with you planning things for your future, and planning things for the season to come, the only issue he has is when what you plan does not match his will.
Because of how society has groomed us , we knowingly or unknowingly make a lot our decision based on the level of control we have with a particular situation.
we invest our money where we think we will reap the largest return.
we invest our time in situations where we can control what will best benefit us.
we invest our emotions in relationships that often times bring no real fruit.
but the overall level of our investment is strongly dependent upon our level of control of the situation.
because what we do is, we try to handle a situation on our own and then when things have gotten “out of control” beyond what we can fix, then we ask God to step in.
when the reality is you were never in Control of it from the beginning (when you think about it, control is an allusion) we think we have it, bt we dont
for instance you can control how safe you drive your car, but you can not control how safe someone else drive theirs car.
you can control how how well you do on the test, and how well you do in the interview, but you can not control weather they hire you or not.
you contribute but you do not control,
and when we get into the business of trying to control outcomes, we take on unnecessary battles with God, because he didn't see it the way we planned
Because one of the things they don’t tell you when you when you give you life to christ
is that there will be times when you pray for stuff and it does not happen,
there will be times when you believe God for things and it will not come to past,
and until we realize that it is my Job to contribute in some way so that God can blow on my work and through faith, and pray God’s desired outcome is fulfilled.
which leads me to my second point
and so not only must we understand that God is control of our season, but we have to

Trust God’s Outcomes - Proverbs 3:5-6

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
One of the things you have to be mindful of when you are trusting God in this season
that you dont put more hope in the answer than you do the God.
You dont want to put more faith in the outcome than you do in the one who controls the outcome
and alot of people put their faith in anticipated outcomes,
but we have to learn to put our confidence in our relationship with the God we trust in.
do you understand the difference?
because when you put your trust and hope in the outcome alone,
when or if something does not happen the way we planned we get disappointed
and that disappointment becomes the Gap in our faith journey with god
so rather than getting my hopes all up for an outcome that may or may not happen
what im going to do is pray in the confidence of the person im trusting and believing in.
so that basically looks like this
however you do it!
whenever you do it!
My hope and my confidence is in God, because hes the one thats doing it,
and so because God is the one who’s doing it, bible says the righteous will not be put to shame.
and so my hope is not in the outcome
Why?
you have a thousand plus plans in your heart right now,
Plans for how you want this year to go
plans for how you want next year to go
plans how you want your family to go
your ministry to go, your carrear to go
you have a-lot of plans, but those plans may not be the purposes of the lord
so it always a risk when you put your hope in the outcome as you understand it
when we say that God answers prayer,
what we mean is that God is committed to doing his will on our behalf
and his will may not be our idea
So when we are trusting God, we are not say “ Hey God I have a good idea, do me a favor”
were saying God manifest your will for my life
because heres the deal
your highest desire, and your highest goal
is still too small for what God has planned for you.
you just have to understand that until you learn to trust what the lord wants for you
everything else is not going to satisfy.
what brings satisfaction to your soul is a complete understanding of the will of God concern you,
so we must trust his will!
because God does not talk english, he doesn't speak spanish, he doesnt even speak hebrew or greek
what God speaks is the language of his will
so as god express himself to you, all of the wisdom he gives you, the knowledge he give you,
the understanding that he gives you, is for the purposes of you grabbing ahold of the will of God.
alright if your paying attention be good class and say
“Lord let your will be done”
you have to know that

Something Good is coming out of this -

rm 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
There is a point to the test, there is a point to the trail, there is a point to the crisis, there is point the the emergency
God will even do something through what looks like a disaster
but the point is if all these events are occurring back to back, if you don’t have clear view of his will, your going to go through with no point.
so why cry if theres nothing coming out of is
why get your self sick worrying about it , why endure the pain of this season if nothing is coming out of this.
Look at somebody and say something is coming out of this
your not just frustrated for no reason
your not just being pressured for no reason
God’s not just overlooking you for no reason
there is a point to this, there has to be a point
and overall the point whatever it is, is going to bring him glory
in closing, I want to let you know that whatever season you find yourself in. If you can remember that God is in control of your season, and if you can yield to God’s Outcome and his will for your life, you will be able to trust God in whatever season your in, knowing that something Good is coming out of this.
