True wisdom and power comes from God
Today we come together to reflect on the true source of wisdom and power. In a world that values success based on human standards, we must remember that true wisdom and power come from God alone.
God's wisdom and power are far greater than any worldly standard. In Psalm 71:1-14, we see how the steadfastness of God's power surpasses any success we may achieve on our own.
Likewise, in Isaiah 49:1-7, we see how the Lord's love and faithfulness endure forever, outshining any human achievement.
In Jesus, we see the perfect embodiment of God's power and wisdom. In John 12:20-36, we witness how Jesus was lifted up, demonstrating the power of God despite the unbelief of the people.
And in 1 Corinthians 1:18-31, we see how the world may view Jesus as foolishness, but his death and resurrection prove the true wisdom and power that come from God.
We must seek God's wisdom and power over any worldly success. Psalm 71:1-14 reminds us to rely on God's strength rather than our own. And Isaiah 49:1-7 encourages us to seek the Lord's wisdom and love, rather than the fleeting approval of the world.
As we reflect on these truths, let us remember that human wisdom and power are fleeting, but God's is everlasting. Let us trust in the Lord's wisdom and power, rather than any worldly standard of success.
May God bless us and guide us as we seek His wisdom and power in all that we do. Amen.
