You are Justified

Live in ignorance to the Word, constantly quenching the Spirit, and living like a bastard.

Lot is an illustration of this type of believer.

And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

But there is more to life than the initial act of faith in His atoning work. His Justification opens a life that is modeled after Christ, and brings joy, peace, and eternal rewards.

You are Sanctified

The Bible is clear that the believer is regenerated by the Holy Spirit and starts their new life as an infant.

Hebrews 5:13 KJV 1900

For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

1 Corinthians 3:2 KJV 1900

I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

1 Peter 2:2 KJV 1900

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

Growth in the Christian is a spiritual work provided by the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:16 KJV 1900

That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

God desires that the believer be a witness as a natural process of sanctification.

2 Corinthians 5:20 KJV 1900

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Ephesians 2:10 KJV 1900

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Your prayer life shows your desire to give every burden, every request, every action into the hands of God.

you are Glorified

It is true that the believer is waiting for the time when Jesus calls them home.

Romans 8:19–23 KJV 1900

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

This glorification will happen either when the believer’s body stops functioning, or when Christ raptures that individual.

2 Corinthians 5:8 KJV 1900

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Yet there is some semblance to the glorification that Christ will one day share with us in this present world. And that is shone through us when we walk in the sanctified life.

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
