God Verses Giants

The Bible is a story of good versus evil
From the beginning. God has been ridding his defiled creation from the evil that has penetrated it
This evil was from before creation (Isaiah 14:12-21)
verse 20- they will not be renowned
The Creation of Giants
The Creation of Giants
God created all things good (Genesis 1:31)
Satan, having been banished from heaven made his home in God’s new creation
He brought all of mankind into sin by his temptation for Adam and Eve to be like him and try to take the place of God (Genesis 3:5)
This fall of man took the authority away from man and put it into the hands of Satan (from God to man to satan) Genesis 1:26-28 have dominion
The forces of evil begin intermingling with the creation of God and creating a corrupted nation of men
The Bible does not give us many details but we know that this corrupted nation was not good in the sight of God
Possibly “watchers” (spiritual beings not part of the creation of this world) that were taking daughters of men for themselves.
Possible a group of power hungry wicked men who were recieving supernatural power from evil spirits and beings
Whatever the case, these giants came from an immoral (अनैतिक), wicked relationship between fallen spiritual beings and men that was not pleasing to God or part of his natural good creation
Before and after the flood
Genesis 6:1-4 The creation of these wicked people groups
The purpose of the world-wide flood was to wipe out these groups of corrupted people
Noah found grace- probably meaning that his family had no history of this perversion (विकृित)
Genesis 10:6-14 The cursed family of Ham and the second corruption of man
men of renown, standing before God in pride and rebellion
Once again taking advantage of others and making kingdoms for themselves
This is the origon of Babylon, the great enemy of God’s people from Genesis to Revelation
The Destruction of Giants
The Destruction of Giants
God again created a nation for himself
Satan cannot create, he can only corrupt. This is God’s great advantage against satan and his wicked army
God chose Abraham who had no kids and no ability to have kids
God created a nation out of no nation
Genesis 12:1-4 Abraham, Lot, Jacob and Esau all used by God to destroy the giants from the earth
Deuteronomy 2:8-23 The destruction of giants in other lands
The command to destroy the giant people
Deuteronomy 20:10-18 There is a distinct difference between the giant people and other nations (Numbers 13:28-33)
The king to finish the job
Israel did not bring these nations to complete destruction like God commanded, neither could King Saul
So God called David to come and finish the job
1 Samuel 17:1-11 the fear of Goliath
1 Samuel 17:43-54 David kills the giant
David spent the rest of his reign destroying the philistines (2 Samuel 21:16-22)
