OVERFLOWING GRACE GOD’S LOVING FAVOR IN MY INADEQUACY RESULTING IN OVERFLOWING BENEFITS. PHILEMON 8-14 PART 1 FOUNDATION FOR RESTORATION BUILD RESTORATION ON WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST WITH A MOTIVATION OF WILLING LOVE. PHILEMON 8-14 PART 2 THE APPEAL FOR RESTORATION THE APPEAL FOR RESTORATION ASKS ALL INVOLVED TO TAKE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY WHILE SEEKING LOVING RESTORATION. The Appeal Intensified PHILEMON 15-20 THE APPEAL INTENSIFIED 1. Recognize there is a bigger picture going on then the immediate conflict. 15-17 2. Restoration takes accountability for past actions. 18-19a 3. The person offended must not forget God’s past work in their own life. 19 THE APPEAL INTENSIFIED 4. Be willing to sacrifice on behalf of the other person. 18-19 5. Recognize the benefit of spiritual encouragement of restoration. 20 RESTORATION DEMANDS ONE KEEPS THE BIGGER PICTURE OF ETERNITY AND SPIRITUAL ENDEAVORS IN MIND WHEN CHARTING A COURSE OF RECONCILIATION. APPLICATION • Determine what are the eternal values in the conflict you are facing. Don’t get hung up on temporal issues that can distract from the bigger picture of what God is doing. • Recognize the sacrifice that it takes to accomplish restoration. Identify specific sacrifices you must be willing to make for biblical restoration. APPLICATION • My choices impact more than me – how I handle conflict may bring spiritual encouragement to others when handled biblically. IN CONFLICT AND RESTORATION, KEEP THE ETERNAL AND SPIRITUAL IMPACT OF YOUR CHOICES AS PRIORITY. THE GRACE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST BE WITH YOUR SPIRIT. AMEN.
