This is a challenging passage of Scripture, governed by a little child who is humble & knows no rank & accepts what is in front of him. The salting is the walk of discipleship which is prepared to sacrifice oneself for the sake of others. Salting that is marked by a servant of all & least of all attitude to fellow believers that forbids the setting up of ranks & divisions in the body of Christ. Have this salt in yourselves, says Jesus, & be at peace with one another.
