Luke 4:18-19 - 18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; 19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

John 20:11-18 - 11 Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb 12 and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. 13 They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?”“They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.” 14 At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.15 He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?”Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.”She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).17 Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”18 Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.

Why is this essential to understand?

In this short passage we see actual court of law proof that there was a resurrection of Jesus!
first lets talk about the main characters: Mary and who?
in the time frame of history a woman’s testimony was considered invalid in the court of law? So why wouldn’t God use lets say one of the disciples?

what are the 5 senses?

in the court of law 3 valid forms must be used to identify someone being at a scene
we see the first two immediately
Visual and Audible
in the audible it is important to note, that when Mary cries our Rabboni Jesus responds to confirm who He was.
then comes the physical - in verse 17 we read that Mary tried to hold on to Jesus, in which Jesus also confirms that Mary did in fact hold on to him.
Then from there what we see is interesting is another womans testimony going to tell the men.
