Ephesians 1:11-14  (ESV)

11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. 13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

In Him

Vs 3 blessed be God and blessed be those who know God.

We have obtained an inheritance

“WE”

God] has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3)

he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him (Ephesians 1:4)

In love he predestined us for adoption (Ephesians 1:4-5)

he has blessed us in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:6)

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us (Ephesians 1:7-8)

And now, in verse 11,

In him we have obtained an inheritance

We the church.. the best of us and the worst of us. The least of us and the greateast of us.the first to believe and the last to believe

If we truly believe God is in control, then why don’t we give God full control of us?

God is working.. he has not finished.. he is still WORKING that work sometimes effect unbelievers and believers.

This is an ongoing trust in all situations.

Trust your kids, trust your spouse, trust your boss, trust voting, trust your government?

Do you trust the word of God

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV)

16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

So should it be the first thing we turn to in hard and difficult situations? Or is it Twitter? Or a certain political leader? Or a Pastor that agrees with our point of view?

You are owned by God and he is now working in you..

The Holy Spirit is his first deposit into your life. Heaven is the full payment

Something assigned to another.. a heritage..

1 Thessalonians 4:16  (ESV)

Here on earth we get just a taste.. a sniff of the glory of God of what he wants us to become.

IN HIM.. not you.. not the church you attend not the country you live in not the color of your skin not the job you have or the school you go to or the sport you you play.. HIM God.. the Father,, the son.. The Holy Spirit.

This brings us to praise his Glory!!!
