Romans 8:27-39
Romans 8:27-39
27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
The spirit communicates with God on levels that we can’t understand
He then communicates them to us in ways that we can
We can walk in better obedience when we’re in tune with the Holy Spirit
How is your obedience?
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
There will be opposition
But the outcome is for good if we’re walking in His purpose
What is God’s purpose?
Prosthesin: setting forth of something in public, put on display, putting out, presenting
God’s purpose for our lives is to put us on display. He wants us to be vessels, used for HIS GLORY
Is your life worth putting on Display?
IF YES, Why?
IF NO, Why?
29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
Are you being conformed to the image of His SON?
This takes initiative and intentional Here
What areas are you intentionally becoming more like Christ?
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Really what are we scared of?
What is holding you back?
32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
You really thinking he’s withholding things from us
Genesis 22-Abraham sacrificing Isaac (probably a grown man by that point)
What are you holding onto that you can’t give up?
The things that you can’t let go of are holding you back!
1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
How do we keep fixated on Jesus daily?
33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.
If you and God are right what is there to be worried about?
34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
What’s it take for you to be all in?
What is your view on God’s love?
