-flesh
Numbers 11:5: “We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:”
-you have what they used to eat in the world
-you have what God has provided through His salvation
-you have what they desired when they doubted the Lord
the former lusts
Ephesians 4:22- That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
1 Peter 1:4: As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
Ephesians 2:3: “Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.”
Galatians 1:13: “For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:”
AFTER THE SPIES BROUGHT BACK AN EVIL REPORT, THE PEOPLE’S HEARTS MELTED AND THEY ONCE AGAIN DESIRED TO GO BACK TO THE FORMER WAYS OF SATISFYING THEMSELVES OUTSIDE OF GOD’S PROMISES AND GOD’S PROVISIONS—
Numbers 14:1-6: “And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night. And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness! And wherefore hath the Lord brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt? And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt. Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel. And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:”
I John 2:15-17: “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” This is the Eve dilemma.

Two Destinies
Two Destinies
-works of the flesh
-fruit of the Spirit
Instead of inspecting fruit, consider how you are walking. Are you conducting your life in the flesh or the spirit?
James 1:13-15: “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”
How do we win the battle? You must win at the lust level.
