Little Girl hearing about Snow White and Prince Charming.

Arrived on the White Horse Kissed her and brought her back to life.
They Lived Happily ever After
No The Got Married.
Getting Married and living Happily ever after are not necessarily synonymous.

God created marriage as an earthly bond with a Heavenly picture.

(V.1-5, 10-12) Mans Recreation of marriage is distorted and lacks true meaning and purpose.

Judea- Jesus is not going to Capernaum- Galilee
Tested Jesus to try and trap him.
If Jesus is in Perea, which was under Antipas’s jurisdiction, the question may have been put to trap him on the issue of Antipas’s marriage to Herodias, over which the Baptist had lost his head (6:18)
‌The only question concerned the grounds of divorce, as recorded in the parallel in Matt 19:3, “ ‘Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason.’ ” This final phrase was the crux of the controversy over divorce in Jesus’ day, as is reflected in a celebrated passage in the Mishnah:
The School of Shammai say: A man may not divorce his wife unless he has found unchastity in her, for it is written, “Because he hath found in her indecency in anything.”
And the School of Hillel say: [He may divorce her] even if she spoiled a dish for him, for it is written, “Because he hath found in her indecency in anything.” R. Akiba says: Even if he found another fairer than she, for it is written, “And it shall be if she find no favour in his eyes.” (m. Git. 9:10)
The text the were referring to.
Deut 24:1-4 ““If a man marries a woman, but she becomes displeasing to him because he finds something indecent about her, he may write her a divorce certificate, hand it to her, and send her away from his house. If after leaving his house she goes and becomes another man’s wife, and the second man hates her, writes her a divorce certificate, hands it to her, and sends her away from his house or if he dies, the first husband who sent her away may not marry her again after she has been defiled, because that would be detestable to the Lord. You must not bring guilt on the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.”

This was instituted to save the women from getting treated badly by the men.

Grounds for Divorce

Dt 22:23-24 “If there is a young woman who is a virgin engaged to a man, and another man encounters her in the city and sleeps with her, take the two of them out to the gate of that city and stone them to death—the young woman because she did not cry out in the city and the man because he has violated his neighbor’s fiancée. You must purge the evil from you.”
Jn8:4-5 ““Teacher,” they said to him, “this woman was caught in the act of committing adultery. In the law Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?””
Hypocrisy
Ro 2:22 “You who say, “You must not commit adultery”—do you commit adultery? You who detest idols, do you rob temples?”

he must give up all the wealth in his house.

32 The one who commits adultery lacks sense;

whoever does so destroys himself.

33 He will get a beating and dishonor,

and his disgrace will never be removed.

34 For jealousy enrages a husband,

and he will show no mercy when he takes revenge.

35 He will not be appeased by anything

or be persuaded by lavish bribes.

This was instituted to save the women from getting treated badly by the men.

(V.6-9) Gods creation of marriage is timeless and provides all people with meaning and purpose.

Simple on man and one women.

We have many distortion of this is scripture and in society
But it is one man and one women.
Not one man and two or seven women.
Not one woman and two men.
Not one man and a robot.
Not a man and a man

Proverbs 12:4

4 A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown,

Proverbs 31:10

IN PRAISE OF A WIFE OF NOBLE CHARACTER

It is a marriage that is defined by God- But todays society have made it into a Mirage - just a figment of their own imagination.
The nearer a nation’s laws about marriage approach to the law of Christ, the higher has the moral tone of that nation always proved to be.

Leave and Cleave
Marriage is more than finding the right person; it is being the right person.

Le 20:10 ““If a man commits adultery with a married woman—if he commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife—both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.”
There is no estate to which Satan is more opposed as to marriage.

One Flesh
To be one is to be united physically and spiritually
Physically your blood mixes. Your gems mix. Your microorganism mix. You DNA mixes when you have Children.
Within marriage, sex is beautiful, fulfilling, creative. Outside of marriage, it is ugly, destructive, and damning.
John F. MacArthur
Spiritually
You walk reflects the others. You Holiness reflects the others. Your love of God reflects the others. Your service reflects the others.
1 Corinthians 7:27–28 (CSB) — 27 Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek to be released. Are you released from a wife? Do not seek a wife. 28 However, if you do get married, you have not sinned, and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. But such people will have trouble in this life, and I am trying to spare you.
The marriage relation lies at the very root of the social system of nations.

7641 Marriage is not for a moment; it is for a lifetime. It requires long and serious preparation. It is not to be leaped into, but entered with solemn steps of deliberation. For one of the most intimate and difficult of human relationships is that of marriage.

Marriage is a covenant consecrated by God.
John Calvin
Let no one separate.
Do not try to take the easy road out. This is a life long commitment. This is tool that God uses to sanctify us. Marriage is a life long relationship.

The cause of broken marriages is selfishness in one form or another.
Havner, Vance
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 “Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their efforts. For if either falls, his companion can lift him up; but pity the one who falls without another to lift him up. Also, if two lie down together, they can keep warm; but how can one person alone keep warm? And if someone overpowers one person, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not easily broken.”

(V. 10-12) A marriage is a picture of Christ and His Kingdom.

Ephesians 5:22–32 CSB
Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord, because the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of the body. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives are to submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her to make her holy, cleansing her with the washing of water by the word. He did this to present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and blameless. In the same way, husbands are to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hates his own flesh but provides and cares for it, just as Christ does for the church, since we are members of his body. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. This mystery is profound, but I am talking about Christ and the church.
You cannot understand marriage unless you are a Christian.

Re 19:6-9 “Then I heard something like the voice of a vast multitude, like the sound of cascading waters, and like the rumbling of loud thunder, saying, Hallelujah, because our Lord God, the Almighty, reigns! Let us be glad, rejoice, and give him glory, because the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his bride has prepared herself. She was given fine linen to wear, bright and pure. For the fine linen represents the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, “Write: Blessed are those invited to the marriage feast of the Lamb!” He also said to me, “These words of God are true.””
Prince on his White Horse to save the and Make her his Bride. And their robes are white as snow.

11 Then I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse. Its rider is called Faithful and True, and with justice he judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a fiery flame, and many crowns were on his head. He had a name written that no one knows except himself. 13 He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his name is called the Word of God. 14 The armies that were in heaven followed him on white horses, wearing pure white linen. 15 A sharp sword came from his mouth, so that he might strike the nations with it. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will also trample the winepress of the fierce anger of God, the Almighty. 16 And he has a name written on his robe and on his thigh: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

But marriage is truly only a reflection of Christs bond for his Church and the seriousness and permanency of marriage is fulfilled in the the day when we will be at the marriage feast of the Lamb.

Not Prince Charming but the prince of Peace!!!

Do not take your marriage for garnet. Do not waste your days in limbo of if you are hoping to be married. Whether you are married physically on this earth now or you are praying that the Lord will bless you with a marriage partner in the future. Do not take the worlds understanding and regulations on what marriage is. Understand that God created marriage as an earthly bond with a Heavenly picture.
