Just like our physical body needs a strong core in order to be healthy, to be a healthy strong church, we need core strength!
What needs to be done to have a strong core in church? I think in the church, the core is the way we think which is central to serving God strong!
Romans 12:2 NKJV
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Strong Church Strong Core = Renewed Mind

We looked at this scripture before but it is super important as a renewed mind is your “spiritual core”. So what the first thing we need to do.
2 Corinthians 10:3–6 NKJV
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Our “Weapons” Checks Thoughts!

Look at what the weapons of our warfare does. Pulls down strongholds. Where are our strongholds? Casts down arguments. Brings every thought into captivity. Our weapons strengthen our spiritual core, it changes our mindset.
Numbers 13:27–33 NKJV
27 Then they told him, and said: “We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. 28 Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the South; the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountains; and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan.” 30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.” 31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” 32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. 33 There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”

Thoughts Can Weaken Our Core!

The thoughts of the 10 spies weakened an entire nation for years. They did not take their thoughts captive but let them be exactly as they always were, full of fear. We can have a fear of any upcoming move that God wants to use us to take territory and be paralyzed with uncertainty which is not pleasing to God because there is no faith involved! Look who was sent.
Numbers 13:1–2 NKJV
1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel; from each tribe of their fathers you shall send a man, every one a leader among them.”
Leaders and they were not to come back to report if they could or could not take the land, they were to spy out the land that God had already promised to give them. What are we doubting that God already promised He was going to do for us.
Joshua 1:8 NKJV
8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Philippians 4:8 NKJV
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

These are the God Things to Create Core Strength!

Instead of spending so much effort on fear of failing or trying to make it happen on our strength, we need to renew our mind by meditating on the right stuff. Meditate on the things of God not worry on the things that “might” happen or have happened in the pas. Unconscious vs Conscious
