AUTHOR
The Holy Spirit of God by inspiration through Nahum
DATE WRITTEN
7th Century B.C.
The book of Nahum is placed AFTER Micah in the King James Bible, showing (again) that the AV of 1611 did NOT follow “the order of books in the Greek Septuagint.” (In the fifth column of Origen’s Hexapla—called the “Septuagint” by Gleason Archer and Philip Schaff—Nahum follows Jonah.)
The current generation was
Apostate, though they at one time worshipped God.
Deliberately rejecting the God they once worshipped and served.
Challenging the God they had once accepted and worshiped.
(Old Testament Survey. Knox, James W.)
Let us examine this verse of Scripture to understand the JOYS of Jesus
I. The Foundation of Christ.
I. The Foundation of Christ.
The Lord is good
And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
II. The Fortress of Christ.

He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

and he knoweth them that trust in him
27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
