Using Your Prophecies To Fight The Good Fight!

1 Timothy 1:18 This command I entrust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with the prophecies previously made concerning you, that BY THEM you Fight the Good Fight!

I. The specific CHARGE that was EXTENDED to him!

1:18 This CHARGE I entrust to you, Timothy, my son . . .

Exodus 6:13 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and to Aaron, and gave them a CHARGE . . . to bring the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt!

*What is the Meaning of the word “Prophecies”? To receive divine communication from the Holy Spirit and then revealed to another person or assembly of people as directed by the Holy Spirit!

*What is the Message that is comes from a Prophecy? One who prophesies speaks to men for edification, exhortation and consolation!

1 Timothy 4:14 Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was bestowed on you through prophetic utterance with the laying on of hands by the presbytery

*What is a spiritual gift? A divine enablement given to Believer’s to manifest the Presence of God in them and then through them to advance the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven!

*Where does the spiritual gift operate from? The apostle Paul said that Timothy’s spiritual gift operated from within him . . .

*How was Timothy’s spiritual gift manifest to him? Timothy’s spiritual gift was bestowed on him through prophetic utterance and the laying on of hands by the presbytery!

III. The specific RECOMMENDATION that was OFFERED to him!

1:18 . . . by THEM (prophetic utterances), you fight the good fight!

1:19 Keeping faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith!
