Proverbs 15:6 (NIV84)
The house of the righteous contains great treasure,
but the income of the wicked brings them trouble.
So we wind up this series on struggle with struggling with THINGS(things we have, things we want, things we need)
So we wind up this series on struggle with struggling with THINGS(things we have, things we want, things we need)
“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.
What is the problem with trying to serve two masters?
The Greek word for money here is “mammona” which means ALL kinds of possessions
What’s in a word? The Things we have.
What’s in a word? The Things we have.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
Life 1=”Hymon te” which means all the things that surround our lives. Life 2=”psuche” which means the Soul that part of our life that makes us who we are to God.
So this states that our life, in God’s eyes is much more than what the world would describe of us.
Go home and try to take an inventory
What Me Worry?
What Me Worry?
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
Do you remember Alfred E. Newman?

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
Sometimes we find ourselves beggin’ to be pagan
The Things we need
The Things we need
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
What we need is:
1> His Kingdom
2> His Righteousness
3> What he gives you today and how to use it the best.
