2 TH 1:10-12
10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. 11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: 12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

matt 6:5-8 “And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.”
Being a good solier take being prepared for the task in this regard we need to pull off everything that can hold us back the wirter of the book Too busy not to pray Bill Hybels
worte about a man who came To his office after hearing a message on sin and told the pastor that was making him feel bad because he did not consider himself to be a sin so I said to him maybe you’re not but let me ask you a few questions you been married for 25 years have you been absolute faithful to your wife the whole time he chuckled well you know all men sales travel a lot okay when you forgot your expense account to hereby add something that wasn’t strictly business while everybody does he replied when you’re out selling your products do you ever scratch truth as to what your product will do and what it will not do or say this is going to go out next Tuesday when you know it’s not going to the pastor replied you just told me that you are in adultery a cheater and a life
it’s amazing how often we need to look at the truth and know who we are
we to take deep dive into ourselves and see where we stand
we cannot help other until we are able to let the pure light shine in our lives
matt. 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
2 cor 13:5 “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”
Lam 3:40 “Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the Lord.”
We need to think about having a pattern for for
making ourselves fit for the work of the Lord
we need to make a list and start listing things that we find in ourselves that we don’t like and that is against God’s word
that’s be for specific because we always want to make sure that we please God
don’t use sanctified clichés just to sound good but let’s get down to business and be real with God about the type of life that we leave now and what we would really like our lives to be like
we also need to look at the list on a daily basis and find out the things that I being removed from our lives through prayer by God
prayer from the heart Psalm 62 and eight tells us pour out your hearts to him
tell God how you feel be real with him because he already knows anyway
be specific in what you asked for he is not Santa Claus but he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek this is not a negotiations but it is a time to commune with God and allow him to talk with you and if you listen he will give you directions that you need to accompany the things that he has placed in your life will come to fruition according to his power
