In the concluding half of chapter two, Paul now addresses the question of what constitutes a true Jew, building upon Paul's conclusion in the previous passage that, with or without the law, God's judgment is centered in Jesus Christ, who is the essence and standard of the law, and whether the law is lived from the heart. Ultimately, Paul will reveal that the true Jew is the one, who in righteousness, lives the law in both the letter and the spirit.
