Introduction
Paul uses a word picture everyone was familiar with. He refers to those who ran before him and later refers to those who will run after him.
Chapter 11 is all about those who went before...
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Lay aside every weight
Good but not God
Spiritual runners must lay aside relationships, desires, allowable but not beneficial.
Lay aside sin that easily besets us.
Perform
Perform
Run - Col 3:23 “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,”
Give your best where God has you get you ready for what God has for you.
Run your race -
KNOW YOUR YES.

Endure the cross - outlast the enemy
Some have received only because they refused to quit.
Looking unto Jesus - He’s got you.
It's a marathon not a sprint.
The beginning of a long journey is the first step
Three way to move a mountain is one shovel full at a time.

Jesus is seated at the right hand of God
God is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
Pray you run well.
God’s promotion opens up and provides opportunities for your people and partners.
