1. Who decides how a Christian should live? Deut. 30:16
In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
2. Where do we find these instructions concerning how we should live? II Tim. 3:16 &17
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
3. Is there any portion of the Bible that is not given by God? II Tim. 3:16 & 17 General statement
4. Did men have any part in deciding what should be in the Bible? no at all II Pet. 1:21
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
5. If what men tell us to do is in conflict with what God tells us to do, which should we follow? Acts 5:29 Answer in the exact words of the Scripture.
Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
6. What will happen to anyone who adds or takes from God’s Word? Rev. 22:18 &19
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
7. Do we each have the privilege of interpreting God’s commandments as we please? II Pet. 1:20
8. Why does God expect us to know what He has commanded us to do? Deut. 30:11-14, II Tim. 2:15
9. Does God’s Word teach that people disobey God because they misunderstand the Scriptures or that they misunderstand the Scriptures because they disobey God? John 7:17
10. From the above passages, do you think God will excuse disobedience on the grounds that we misunderstood or misinterpreted His Word? John 5:39
11. What does God say of those who know what He has commanded but refuse to do it? James 1:23-25, Heb. 10:26-31
12. What does He say of those who delight in and meditate upon God’s Word? Psm. 1:2 & 3
13. Will God judge those who have not had access to His Word? If so, on what basis? Rom. 1:19 & 20
14. Make as long a list as you can of things which God’s Word is likened to. Give the Scriptures for each. Give a sentence or two explaining the significance of each as
