Acts 26:18 NKJV

18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’

Explanation

Read Acts 26:12-16

Give context- explain verse

Paul is telling how he became a Christian, he shares about his calling to preach and he encourages his listeners to respond to the gospel.

To open their eyes- To preach the gospel to them so that God would use it to give spiritual life.

Why? So they would turn from darkness to light, from the power of satan to God.

Why? So what they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance- heaven.

This is by faith in Christ.

Testimony

This is the experience of every Christian.

I heard the gospel and I believed it and I was turned from darkness to light.
