Matthew 6:32–33 KJV 1900
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
What promise did God make?
What is the prerequisite?
Ability to supply
Mark 11:24 KJV 1900
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
For what can we trust God if we are in his will?
Trustworthiness:
God expects certain minimums from us.
Here God equates our faithfulness to our possessions.
Luke 16:10 KJV 1900
10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
God values faithfulness and He verifies our trustworthiness.
Love:
Many Christians fail to trust God because inwardly they believe God wants to deprive and punish them.
What is the promise in Matthew7:11
Matthew 7:11 KJV 1900
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
This promise assures us of God’s love.
Power:
God wants to show us that He can do what He says.
Romans 10:11–12 KJV 1900
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
a. Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
b. God does not show partiality
God is not prejudice
God is just
c. Anyone can participate in the riches of God
Unification:
God uses material possessions to teach His church important lessons.
An illustration of Grace
2Co 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
The application
2 Corinthians 8:14 KJV 1900
14 But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:
He begins by mentioning the generosity of the Christians in Philippi, Thessalonica, and Berea, who were very poor, the inference being that the wealthier Corinthians would make similar sacrifices. He quotes the example of the Lord Jesus, who made Himself poor that they might be enriched and who for nineteen centuries since has had the joy of enriching myriads of souls. Paul reminds the Corinthians that a year ago they had resolved to make this gift. Finally he sketches his fair dream of reciprocity between church and church, so that wherever there was need the supplies of Christian benevolence should flow forth to meet it.
Too much + Too little = Enough
Direction:
One of the most important characteristics of a Christian’s commitment is patience. It is virtually impossible to be obedient and impatient at the same time. God will use resources (money) as one of the tests of our obedience to His will.
Proverbs 3:5–6 KJV 1900
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.
a. Trust -
b. Do not trust -
c. Then He will -
What is the message of :
Galatians 6:9 KJV 1900
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Witness:
One of the most effective witnesses to many non-Christians is the use of money. It is one thing to say you love others, but do you show that love?
Deuteronomy 15:11 KJV 1900
11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
What is implied as the first requirement for helping others?
To whom does Jesus compare those in need?
Matthew 25:44 KJV 1900
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Matthew 25:45 KJV 1900
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

Computer cookies are small pieces of data that are stored on a user's computer by a website they visit. Cookies can be used to track a user's online behavior and preferences, including the products they are interested in. This information can be used by marketers to target users with personalized ads and offers based on their past behavior. For example, if a user has previously searched for shoes on a website, cookies can be used to display ads for shoes to that user on other websites they visit. This targeted marketing can increase the likelihood that a user will make a purchase, as the ads are more relevant to their interests.
