Breaking New Ground
Nehemiah was the cupbearer to the King.
CUPBEARER (מַשְׁקֶה, mashqeh). An officer of high rank in ancient Egyptian, Persian, Assyrian, and Jewish courts. It was the duty of the cupbearer to fill the king’s cup and deliver it to him.
According to Xenophon, ancient cupbearers drank some of the king’s wine to see if it was poisoned before they offered the cup to him
There was a remnat that
My first move is to fast and pray.
I do not want to react off of emotions versus what God wants me to do,.
The diffrence bewwen us and them. The world is emotion driven and we are Christ Led.
And because the gracious hand of my God was on me, the king granted my requests. (Neh 2:9A)
In other words I AM GRACED FOR THIS. Grace is when God makes you able.
When God has graced you for something. He will make provison for you.
Grace knows my name. You don’t have to know it…GRACE DOES!
The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down ( Ne 1:3.)
There was a remnant that survived.
Now there has been a change in seating. I’m no longer taking orders. I’m giving orders.
What we have to be mindful of is .. “we cant stay too long”. (sing.. I can’t stay to long.. I gotta keep moving”.
You have to know when your purpose has overstayed its welcome!
There are somethings that you have to leave behind in order to pursue the assignment ahead.
