Job 1:1 KJV 1900
There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
Job 1:2 KJV 1900
And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.
Job 1:3 KJV 1900
His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.
Job 1:4 KJV 1900
And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.
Job 1:5 KJV 1900
And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

Introduction.

Easter Dinner next week
Cain and Abel Came to Church.
Moses Law
Exodus 30:10 KJV 1900
And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year shall he make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto the Lord.
This was God’s requirement. Blood. Nothing else could be added to that.
Exodus 12:13 KJV 1900
And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
Israel’s lamb, slain, was the requirement of Jehovah. To escape death, there must be a substitute death. And Jehovah required the slain lamb, and the blood was a token that the requirement had been made.
Now, the blood was a sign that something had died, and the blood itself was the token. It was saying, that, “This house has met the requirements of Jehovah’s word, and therefore it is protected by this token, that our fare has been paid.” 63-1128E - The Token
There have always been people who try to add something to that.
Micah 6:7 KJV 1900
Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, Or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
Micah 6:8 KJV 1900
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; And what doth the Lord require of thee, But to do justly, and to love mercy, And to walk humbly with thy God?
The only requirement was to approach the sacrifice sincerely, and offer blood.
(Man offering Sacrifice)
And he held his hands upon it, knowing that life was taken to save his life. He was sincere in it. And as long as he was sincere, it was all right. But the time come when it become a family tradition.
Then God said, He sent a prophet on the scene, by the name of Isaiah, He said, “Your sacrifices, solemn feasts, stink in My nose.”  64-0314 - The Investments
Job knew he had met the requirement of his hour. (Revelation)
Now, Job, he had offered the sacrifice. He knowed that he was righteous, not in himself, but he was righteous because he had met God’s requirement. 56-0212 - Fellowship
Now, notice Job, no matter what went, what gone, what his church said, what anyone else said, he knowed he met God’s requirements. He was standing on the blood, the burnt sacrifice.  61-0214 - The Basis Of Fellowship
What does God Require today?
Acts 2:37 KJV 1900
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Acts 2:38 KJV 1900
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
I’m not saved because I feel like I’m saved. The devil can beat you around the bush on your feelings. Brother, I’m saved because I met God’s requirement. That’s why I’m saved. Let me see him beat me around that.
That’s what God said. My feelings, that has nothing to do with it. But the Bible said I’m saved, and I met that requirement, and that’s the reason I know I’m saved. Course there is a feeling that goes with it, but not the feeling alone; it’s the Bible said so. 53-1114 - Africa Trip Report
That’s the way I accept Him for my salvation. I’m not saved tonight because I feel happy. That’s not the reason I’m saved. I’m not saved because I shout. I’m not saved because I spoke with tongues. That don’t make me saved. I’m saved tonight, because I met God’s conditions of His Bible.
God said so, and that’s my faith. I believe I’m saved because I done what He said. Jesus said, “He that heareth My Words and believeth on Him that sent Me has Everlasting Life and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death to life.” I believe it. I’ve accepted on those basis. That settles it. I’m saved.
Satan could beat me around the stump with my feelings. A drunk man could come in and say, “I feel just as good as you do.” He probably does. But he hasn’t got the faith in the thing that I got.
I’m saved, not because I feel like it. I’m saved because I’ve met God’s requirement. And you’re healed the same way. 54-0302 - The Resurrection Of Jairus' Daughter
To add something to that is a slap in the face to the atoning death of Jesus Christ.
He made one sacrifice, there is no other.
Hebrews 10:11 KJV 1900
And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
Hebrews 10:12 KJV 1900
But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Hebrews 10:13 KJV 1900
From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
Hebrews 10:14 KJV 1900
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
There you are. That’s the answer to the death of Christ. That’s the answer to Calvary. He absolutely, with His Own Blood, purchased our sins, and perfected forever, His believers. Therefore, in Christ we stand blameless, perfected in the Presence of God Almighty.
We are underprivileged people, with our own doctrines; we all been taught that we have to get up to a certain place, we have to do a certain thing. No, my brother, it’s nothing you’ve done; it’s what God did for you! We are now, if we are justified by faith, we are perfected forever in the Presence of God.
Then Jesus said, “Be ye therefore perfect.” Then, it was perfected forever. God, through the death of Christ, nineteen hundred years ago, today, perfected the believer, that He foresaw before the foundation of the world, forever.
And those who He has called, He has justified. “Those who He foreknew, He has called; those who He has called, He has justified; those who He has justified, He has already glorified.” He has perfected His believers! 57-0419 - The Perfection
Now, here they are in the prayer line. Now, if there was anything I could do to heal you, I’d do it. If I know that crawling on my knees and pushing a quarter all the way around this city here with my nose would heal you, I’d take off to do it. I sure would, ’cause if that was God’s requirement, I’d sure try it.
But it’s not God’s requirement. See, God has already sent Christ, and Christ died; He was wounded for your transgressions, with His stripes you were healed. And the thing’s settled. See, the thing of it now is for you to believe it. It’s yours. 59-0422 - We Would See Jesus
Peter said, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus Christ, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” And here we have people up at the altar, tarrying for this and tarrying for that, when that would made God’s Word of none effect.
God has got to take care of His Word. And the minute you meet His requirement, God will answer His Word that quick. [Brother Branham snaps his fingers—Ed.] Right. Cause, He is there to wait for it.
But you see people saying, “Oh, unless we shout, or unless we speak with tongues, ’less we dance in the Spirit.” All those things are all right. They’re all right, but they have nothing to do pertaining to salvation; not a thing.
Cause, as soon as you repent of your sins, if truly God has convicted you, and you’ve repented and been baptized in Jesus Christ’s Name, God is under obligation to give you the Holy Spirit right then, right, ’cause His Word said so.
It’s nothing on God’s part. It’s your part, because people has been mistaught. Each time they come along, get a little something started, they say, “This is It. This is It.” Oh, my! It isn’t these fleshly demonstrations; they are attributes of the Holy Spirit.
But, receive the Holy Spirit, is to receive a Person, Christ, then these other things take place in the life. 54-1219M - Divine Healing
The Token is the Person of Christ in you.
“But when I see the Token, I’ll pass over you.” It’s God’s requirement of the hour. The evening-time Message, is to apply the Token.  63-0901M - Token
How do I know I have applied the Token?
Look what you were and look what you are now. Something did that. You changed. You were born again and now the Spirit of Christ lives through you.
Job’s comforters came and accused him of secret sin, because of what they saw him going through.
But Job said, “I’ve made my confession. I’ve put the burnt offering out before God, and I’m not a sinner.” He knowed where he was standing. Then everything went on, just on and on and on, just as hard as it could go, trying to down Job, and to bring Job to a place that he would deny God and deny that burnt offering.
The very minute you take action upon anything that you confess, it shows your weakness, your doubt of God. You ask God for anything, and walk around doubting it, then you are a doubter and not a believer.
He was certain there was a God, and he had met the requirements. Oh, I feel religious. He knowed that he had met God’s requirements, and that settles it. God was testing his faith. He’ll test yours. He’ll test mine.
But when we’ve met His requirements, “Repent every one of you and be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost,” that’s His promise.
“Any among you sick, call the elders of the church. Let them anoint them in oil, and pray over. The prayer of faith shall save the sick, and God shall raise them up.” That settles it. “Confess your faults, one to another, and pray one for another.” You’ve met God’s requirements. 59-0125 - Be Certain Of God
After you have met God’s requirements, you have the Token, you’ve been born again by the Word, your life has proven that you are the predestined, elected children of God, you will be tested.
Just like Job you will have people tell you that you are not saved, or you are not the bride, or you are going to the wrong church, or you don’t really believe the Message.
This happened in the early church.
Acts 15:1 KJV 1900
And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
They are adding a requirement to salvation. It’s a fig leaf.
Salvation, it is not something that we achieved. And we only make…Well, we only make fools of ourself, thinking that we could do it. 61-0516M - God's Provided Way
We follow every Word because we are the Bride. We are not saved because of something we do or don’t do, we are saved because we we were always His, and because of that we have met God’s requirement for this hour.
Why would someone add another requirement to salvation?
Why do salesman get paid a commission? Because companies know that a good salesman can create a need so he has a market for what he’s selling, and urgency so it sells today.
Vacuum cleaner salesman. No one really needs a $3000 vacuum but people buy them every day.
These men from Judaea wanted the people to buy what they were selling, and to do it urgently, so they said “You can’t be saved without it”.
They not only would create this need but they must keep it in the forefront of the people’s minds to retain them as customers.
Whenever a non-salvation issue is made a salvation issue, and then becomes the entire theme of a church or ministry, whether intentional or not, it becomes a substitute for the Token among the people who listen and believe it, and removes the power of the Token life from that group.
The only thing that He requires is that Token. It must be there. And you cannot have the Token until the fare is paid, then you are a possessor of the Token which gives you the privilege of a free pass. “I’ll see the Blood, I’ll pass over you.”
What a time, that, what a privilege, to know that you pack, within you, the Pass. “When I see the Blood, I’ll pass over you.” It’s the only thing that He’ll recognize. It’s nothing else that can take Its place; no substitute, no denomination, no nothing else. It takes That. God said, “That alone will I see.”
No matter how righteous they was, how good they was, how much education they had, how they dressed, the token was the only thing. “When I see the token, I’ll pass over you.” The blood was a token that the requirement of Jehovah had been met, that it had been done. 63-0901M - Token
Try to tell Rahab she wasn’t going to make it. She had a Token!
Oh, brother, our educational systems has drawed us away from it. And our denominations has separated us from one another and from Christ. But, what? They’ll continue to do that. And you take a substitute, any other thing, it’s no more than fig leaves again. God rejects it.
But when the Church comes under the Blood of Jesus Christ, with the token of the Holy Spirit upon them, then you’re going to see brotherhood again. You’re going to see a Church full of power. You’re going to. 63-1028 - Pardon
In my lifetime I’ve seen people add a lot of requirements to be saved, or to make it in the rapture. Lots of Fig leaves:
The Wesleyans said I had to pray though and shout.
The Pentecostals said I had to speak in tongues.
My father told me I had to believe he was a prophet.
Some folks said I had to believe the Thunders were the Virtues.
Some folks said I had to believe in Two Lords.
Some folks say I have to play tapes on Sunday morning at a certain time.
Some folks said Christmas Trees, short sleeves, dying your hair, wearing open toed shoes, even one man said people had to listen to him play the guitar and sing.
Now some say I can only sing a particular type of music, old hymns, when I worship. Only quiet songs. I sort of wish this were true, because I absolutely love old hymns.
Psalm 33:3 KJV 1900
Sing unto him a new song; Play skilfully with a loud noise.
If we’re not careful we strain at a gnat and swallow a camel. Legalism always produces hypocrisy.
Why have these things been elevated from the sovereignty of a local church to a salvation issue? Because the salesman doesn’t want his customers shopping at any other stores.
Don’t be scared by that! Tell the devil of fear and scare “I have met God’s requirements”.
Romans 8:33 KJV 1900
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
Romans 8:34 KJV 1900
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Now we are a part of God. You always was. You don’t remember it, because you were only an attribute in God. You were only in His thinking. Your very name, if it ever was on the Book of Life, it was put there before the foundation of the world. He knew what you were.
I’m only saying this, not to mix up doctrine, but to straighten it out, that we might get away from this fear and scare. You don’t know who you are. You are not going to be, but now you are the sons of God. See, you always were the sons of God. 65-0119 - The God Who Is Rich In Mercy
After Ruth went to the threshing floor Naomi told her “Sit still, for He will not rest until he has finished the thing”.
Ruth had met His requirement.
Philippians 1:6 KJV 1900
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Conclusion.

You have met God’s requirement, you’re the Bride! If you get out of step, heed the warning of the Message, get back in line. You’re going up! Your redemption draws nigh.
I'm trusting and resting In the promise of God I'm trusting and resting While on this earth I trod With the Word of God down in my soul It gives my Jesus complete control I'm trusting and resting In the promise of God
