Jesus was taken middle of the night - It was against the Law.
Mark 14:56–58 ESV
For many bore false witness against him, but their testimony did not agree. And some stood up and bore false witness against him, saying, “We heard him say, ‘I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another, not made with hands.’ ”
Deuteronomy 19:16 ESV
If a malicious witness arises to accuse a person of wrongdoing,
Deuteronomy 19:17 ESV
then both parties to the dispute shall appear before the Lord, before the priests and the judges who are in office in those days.
Deuteronomy 19:18–19 ESV
The judges shall inquire diligently, and if the witness is a false witness and has accused his brother falsely, then you shall do to him as he had meant to do to his brother. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.
They should of been put on a cross - but we know this does not happen.
Instead, jesus ultimately recieves the full punishemnet of death on a cross- Jesus silently acepts their punishment as their own.
Jesus, accepted our punishment, He died on a cross, He didn’t get what he deserved, so that we wouldn’t get what we deserve, and so now, if you have anything to confess to Jesus, now is the time, because His Blood bought you forgiveness.
