Death in Scripture

There is no mention of the deaths of most of the apostles
3 things are given far more prominence:
Duties and responsibilities of life
Rewards and punishment of eternity
How to be saved - the Atonement.

Death is like putting aside a “Tabernacle”

2 Peter 1:14 KJV 1900
14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.
It’s like disrobing - taking off garments.
It’s like moving -for the redeemed, like moving to a place we have looked forward to going, but could not fully understand its beauty.

Death as a Departure.

2 Timothy 4:6 NKJV
6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand.
-airplane departures are on a schedule, we do not know what or when our last day will come.-
