But if it doesn’t please you to worship the Lord, choose for yourselves today: Which will you worship—the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living? As for me and my family, we will worship the Lord.”
Indeed, they sow the wind and reap the whirlwind. There is no standing grain; what sprouts fails to yield flour. Even if they did, foreigners would swallow it up.
The point is this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us—
