Confession of Faith

I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith! In Jesus Name

Intro:
There is a familiar hymn titled “Great Is The Faithfulness written by Thomas Chisholm in 1923.
This hymn is a strong reminder that God's faithfulness never changes. It shows that no matter what we go through in life, God's faithfulness is always the same and never changes. The lyrics are
Verse 1 - Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father, There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided— Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
In the first verse of the song, it tells us that God is always trustworthy. It talks about how there is no going back with God, which means that He does not change or go back on His words. It then goes on and talks about how God's love is always there and never ends. This is what we need today. Knowing that no matter what happens, we can always count on God to be there for us.
Verse 2 - Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest, Sun, moon and stars in their courses above, Join with all nature in manifold witness To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
In the second verse of the hymn, it's said that God's faithfulness doesn't just happen during one season or time of year. It is something we can see and feel everywhere in nature, from the way the seasons change to the way the stars move. Hear me ! God's faithfulness covers everything and it affects every part of our lives.
Verse 3- Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide; Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
The third verse of the song talks about how God's faithfulness has given us many good things. It talks about how God gives peace and forgiveness, as well as how He leads and gives strength. The verse also talks about the hope we have for the future because we know that God's faithfulness will keep us going through all of life's hard times.
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided— Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
God is Faithful
Lamentations 3:22–23 NIV
22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
The prophet Jeremiah wrote these lines to express how sad he was that Jerusalem had been destroyed and that the people of Israel were suffering. But even though he is sad, - Hear me - Jeremiah knows that God is always there for him. He says that God's love and kindness are always there and get better every morning. You might be going through a challenge - But this text reminds us that God is always there for us, even when things seem to be going wrong.
Psalm 89 is another part of the Bible that talks about how faithful God is.
Psalm 89:1 NKJV
1 I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations.
The psalmist starts by praising God's faithfulness, saying, "I will sing about the Lord's great love forever; with my mouth, I will tell everyone about your faithfulness." (v. 1).
Psalm 89:3–4 NLT
3 The Lord said, “I have made a covenant with David, my chosen servant. I have sworn this oath to him: 4 ‘I will establish your descendants as kings forever; they will sit on your throne from now until eternity.’ ” Interlude
Psalm 89:6–7 NLT
6 For who in all of heaven can compare with the Lord? What mightiest angel is anything like the Lord? 7 The highest angelic powers stand in awe of God. He is far more awesome than all who surround his throne.
The psalm writer reminds us about the promise God made to David that his throne would be set up for all time.
See it don’t matter what people say, it don’t matter what you think, when God says he’s going to do it - he’s going to do it - Why because he’s faithful
How many of us - like the psalmist are amazed by how faithful God is. He says, "Who in the skies can compare to the Lord? Who among the heavenly creatures is like the Lord, a God to be greatly feared in the council of the holy ones and more awesome than anyone else?.(
When you read this psalm - you see the writer thinks about all the ways that God has been faithful to the children of Israel, even when they haven't been faithful to him!
You must accept that God's faithfulness comes from who He is and what He has promised, not from how good His people are. In the end, he says,
Psalm 89:52 NLT
52 Praise the Lord forever! Amen and amen!
God's faithfulness is not just biblical theory ! God’s faithfulness is a practical truth that affects how we live every day.
What you talking about Pastor:
When we encounter obstacles, hardships, or uncertainty, we can rely in God's faithfulness.
Romans 8:28 NKJV
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
We can be sure that God will follow His promises, do what He wants to do, and use everything for our good.
Take a minute and Remember how faithful God has been to you. When we reflect back on our lives, we can remember all the ways God has been there for us. You know those moments when he took care of you! Remember when he said he would provide for you and the bills were paid! Remember when you didn’t think you would get the Job or the promotion and you Got it! Remember, when you didn’t know which way to go and something in your spirit said do this or go there and you know it was nothing but God who directed you!
Remember when everyone wrote you off and God said not so...
Remember when the folks who thought would never leave you turned their back on you and God reminded you that he would never leave you nor forsake you!
Remember those times when God took care of you, when God kept you safe, and when God showed you the way. Remembering how good God has been in the past can help you have the faith in him today and the hope for your future.
When we think about God’s faithfulness - there should be a response to that faithfulness! When you see God being faithful, you can thank him, When you see God being faithful praise him, When you see God being faithful you can do what he says. When you see God being faithful We can thank Him for being kind to us and faithful to us, that gives me the desire to follow Him with all my hearts.
I've got a testimony
When you see God being faithful - you need to tell someone about how God has been there for us. Tell someone about how true he has been to you! Talk about his goodness, talk about his kindness, Talk about his mercy!
God has been good to us! It makes me want to tell someone that they can trust God! Tell someone to put their trust in my Lord and Savior. When you open your mouth and share the Goodness of the Lord it will encourage someone who is lost and seeking answers to trust in Jesus ! When you open your mouth and share the Goodness of the Lord it will help someone else grow in their own faith.
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided— Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
God is Faithful to You and to me and We can draw on God's faithfulness even while we're going through hard times, when we are dealing with temptations, or having doubts. We can seek God for strength, seek him for knowledge, and seek him for direction and believe that He will meet our needs. We can rely on His grace and trust in what He has said.
When you think about how faithful God is, try to be faithful to Him as well. Do what He tells us!
Mark 12:30–31 NLT
30 And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ 31 The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
We must be faithful in those two commandments!
love Him with all our hearts, and serve Him with our lives.
When that happens we give him the glory! We glorify him in whatever we do and we make His name shine.
The ultimate example of God's faithfulness is found in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Throughout His ministry, Jesus demonstrated God's faithfulness through His teachings, Jesus demonstrated God's faithfulness through His miracles, and Jesus demonstrated God's faithfulness through His acts of compassion. He remained faithful to God's plan, even when it led Him to the cross. And through His resurrection, He proved that God's faithfulness endures even beyond death.
In the end, our faith is based on the fact that God is faithful. It comes from the way God is, it comes from His Word, and it comes from the way He acts.
When we think about how faithful God is, we remember His unchanging love, his unwavering dedication, and his unlimited power.
God is faithful - stop trusting yourself and trust God! You have reason - just remember how good He is has been
Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided— Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
God Bless you and God keep you is my prayer!
