Approve Affliction

Luke 1:5-25 Luke 1:57-64

READ Verse 5-7, 18-20, 63-64

The priesthood was divided into 24 division or rotations. The rotation would last a week. Zacharias was of the course Abia which was the 8th course. Eight is new begining. Nothing just happens in the life of a believer to include God’s timing. Regardless of what happens He is always on time.

Verse 6 did not negate what Zacharias was about to experince. Sometimes it is the very reason we experience Approved Affliction.

Zacharias continued the work of the Priest although his prayer was not answered yet. We do not have a choice to tap out of our assigments because many times it is in the course of fulfilling our assigments that God speaks to us.

God has a history of giving his people instructions in prayer or prophetically at the most inoppurtune time. Zacharias and Elisabeth were old. Some studies say she was about 60. If God told us what he has for us would blow our mind and our faith would be challenge too.

So enter approved affiliction. Zacharias is silenced. Psalm 119:71 this affliction cause him to comply with the instructions and prevent him from jepordizing the outcome. If you had all of what God has instore for you now, it could possibly hurt you in this season. If he released it now…I have a prophetic Word over my life from a bonified Prophetic Gift.

Zacharias rebounded and applied work to his restored faith based on Luke 1:24. Elisabeth conceived. Regardless of the level or nature of the affliction, you have to carry out the assigment that aligns itself what God has said to you. You have to carry out vision inspite of. Somehow between vs. 24-57 he communicates God’s plan and instruction while afflcited. Elisabeth gives birth and names him John as instructed by Zacharias who was intsructed by Gabriel.

Luke 1:59. Others wanted to name John after his father, which is not a bad thing but it was not the instruction. When Elisabeth said name him John, they said nobody in you kindred is called that! It was a new thing. They asked Zacharias who carried out the instruction and immediatley his mouth was open. When we walk in obdeince inspite of the affliction watch God do new things in your life, his mouth was open but heaven going to open, your prayers are going to answered.

When God opened up his mouth he spake and praised God. I dare you to open up your mouth and praise God. You say but I an still afflicted, do it by faith.

Zacharias prophised over what he birthed!
