In the U.S. military, a bugler blows "reveille" to wake-up the troops in the morning. The same call is used for other purposes, such as assembling for roll-call and, in battle, rallying to a position. In this passage, the prophet Isaiah relays three urgent commands to "Awake! Awake!"
