Some Helpful Insights about Money

Everything belongs to God Ps. 24:1
Psalm 24:1 ESV
The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein,
2. God is our ultimate Provider Matt. 6:33
Matthew 6:33–34 ESV
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
The question is: “How can I best use what God has given me, for his glory?”
3. Money can easily become an idol Luke 16:13
Luke 16:13 ESV
No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”
4. God has given people the ability to create, work and add value.
Genesis 2:5 (ESV)
... and there was no man to work the ground,
Genesis 2:15 ESV
The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.

There is an order of Operations with money

Earn Eph. 4:28, Prov. 14:23
Proverbs 14:23 ESV
In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty.
Ephesians 4:28 ESV
Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need.
2. Give Mal. 3:10
Malachi 3:10 ESV
Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
3. Save Prov. 21:20
Proverbs 21:20 ESV
Precious treasure and oil are in a wise man’s dwelling, but a foolish man devours it.
4. Repay Prov. 22:7
Proverbs 22:7 ESV
The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.
5. Enjoy Heb. 13:5
Hebrews 13:5 ESV
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Biblical wisdom teaches us to HAVE A PLAN

The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.
