Theme: God concedes authority to empires for a season. In Daniel 7 history is going dark and this frightens Daniel himself, so he is showing us how the coming king is brighter and grater that anything else we see. So therefore, this passage is teaching us to stand firm in faith and endurance because Jesus has shared His reign with us.
