; Jesus entered Jerusalem that day as her King. The Old Testament shows us that the King had authority to maintain and rid the temple of polluting elements. But Jesus did not come into the temple merely as the King, but as God Himself. This passage teaches us to be free from the love of money, to have reverence in our hearts for God, and to leave room for those who do not yet know the Lord to join us.
