Pauls Admonishment

Sermon Text: Galatians 6
Galatians 6 (NKJV)
Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For each one shall bear his own load. Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. See with what large letters I have written to you with my own hand! As many as desire to make a good showing in the flesh, these would compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. For not even those who are circumcised keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh. But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God. From now on let no one trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
1. Brothers in a Trespass?
English Standard Version (Chapter 6)
6 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. 2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. 5 For each will have to bear his own load.Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches. 7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. 10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
What is a transgression? It is defined as transgressing the will or law of God by some false step or failure. Restoring your brothers in a spirit of humility, allows a spiritual bond to form in love of Jesus. We come along side our fallen brother and gently lead him out of his fall by direction of the Holy Spirit. All this and being mindful not to be enticed by the enemy into pride or thinking too highly of ourselves.
Proverbs 6:16–19 (NKJV)
These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.
Proverbs came to mind when contemplating this passage in Galatians 6. I wonder if Paul was thinking about this as He was thinking about a person who is spiritual, helping restore a Proverbs 16 person by a person who is opposite Proverbs 16 person. This would be a person who tells the truth, a person who has a humble continence, hands that heal, a heart that has Godly plans, feet that run swiftly to God and the secret place, a Godly Witness who speaks the truth of Gods Word, and one who speaks peace and grace among the brethren. This is from the heart of God, Gods love and knowledge of His ways FLOWING in, through us and out of us who are spiritual, seeking Fathers will. From Gods Heart coming beside our brothers in sin and trespass to restore them and see them set free from the enemy capture of their heart.
2. Pauls Final warning and thoughts.
Stay free in the Pure Gospel of Grace through Faith in Jesus as The Messiah. In other words Justification by Grace through Faith in Christ Jesus. Jesus as Gods only begotten son. Don’t add to that pure good news message. Walk in humility with and before Our God. Love Mercy, do Justly just as in Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?”
Conclusion
What great joy we have before us to be chosen by Holy Spirit to bring a person back to Jesus in Kingdom of God living. Do we as a church, truly see God in our church? Do we welcome Jesus to come into our service and welcome God to use us? Do we bring Holy Spirit with us each meeting here at the building where we have a church gathering?
If we do the basic of worship, fellowship and rightly dividing the word, do we let Holy Spirit have freedom to minister to all of us? Do we hear Holy Spirits voice in our meetings? Are spiritual fruit being exhibited in our midst amongst all of us? Do we fill Gods Love flowing from person to person?
Now if all of that is happening, are we allowing Holy Spirit to use all of us in the Spiritual gifts to minister to each other? Are we being used in the spirit by Holy Spirit. Are we exhibiting and bearing spiritual fruit? is it lasting fruit?
Do we want a church full of Gods presence? It is my hope and prayer that we really do want to be an Overcoming Church overcoming the world and powers and authorities of this world with overcoming faith in overcoming power and authority in Christ Jesus!
Let us press in towards our Jesus. Let Holy Spirit lead and minister his gifts and fruit and spiritual life. Praise our Lord and King Jesus!

1 Corinthians 11:23–32 (NKJV)
For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes. Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
1 Corinthians 11:17–22 (NKJV)
Now in giving these instructions I do not praise you, since you come together not for the better but for the worse. For first of all, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it. For there must also be factions among you, that those who are approved may be recognized among you. Therefore when you come together in one place, it is not to eat the Lord’s Supper. For in eating, each one takes his own supper ahead of others; and one is hungry and another is drunk. What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and shame those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? I do not praise you.
