Broke or Blind?

BEGGAR-HES LOOKING FOR LIFE

Begging takes a turn, it changes from what keeps me alive to what makes me live…He cries out for that which gives life....JESUS

JESUS, SON OF DAVID

reference to the messianic promise of the deliverer to come from Davids line (2 Samuel 7:12-16 “When your days are full and you lie down with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring after you who will go out from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He will build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be a father to him, and he will be a son for me, whom I will punish when he does wrong, with a rod of men and with blows of human beings. But my loyal love shall not depart from him as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from before you. Your house and your kingdom shall endure forever before you; your throne shall be established forever.” ’ ””

this deliverer was prophesied to bring healing to the blind Isaiah 29:18 “And on that day, the deaf shall hear the words of a scroll, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of gloom and darkness.”

Isaiah 35:5 “Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be opened.”

PERSEVERANCE OF HIS FAITH

He didnt let the naysayers or those who told him not to follow Jesus…some of them Jesus’ own disciples....,

JESUS HEARS THE CRY

all three accounts record some of the same things…this being one of them…Jesus stopped or was still… “ask and you shall recieve in luke 11....The Father desires to give to you Himself…dont ask amiss…for your own pleasure in sin

JESUS CALLS YOU TO HIM

the word in Luke is commanded him to be brought to Jesus....Its a phrase actually (ago pros) bringing the sick to the physician but the physician being Christ the best doctor is who you want

RESULTS IN A LIFE OF WITNESS

he follows Jesus....a disciple…he glorifies God now…he is changed and people see it and praise God for it
